[LFP 1-2][OD&D][Podcast Game] Our Monday game still needs a couple more players!

Our party is still in need of 1-2 more players.  We currently have 3 players, though we could actually run with 6 if there's enough interest.  We're playing Original Dungeons & Dragons (the original 3 little brown books with the inclusion of thief and cleric classes) using the Delving Deeper retro clone rules set. At this point, we have a hafling thief, a human cleric and an elf (using the elf's Magic-User/Fighter dual-class ability). We could certainly use another fighter and a full-classed Magic-User. Adding an additional fighter (making 3 additional players) would absolutely not hurt anything as well. The game will be on Mondays, weekly(ish - generally 3 weeks a month) from 1pm-4:30pm CST.  These will be recorded sessions which will be uploaded as an actual-play podcast series.  The game will use Roll20 for basic mapping with tokens for general positioning reference (it won't be actual grid play), and voice chat will be via our Discord server for recording purposes. Please note this is NOT 3.5 or 5e D&D.  There are no 'skills' to roll for the majority of scenarios outside of combat, requiring description and roleplay to determine success.  Most XP is gained through loot, not monsters so creative problem solving is often more productive than fighting (you've got 1 healing potion, your cleric is on his last spell slot and there's an orc scouting party coming around...what do you do?) If you prefer roleplay vs rollplay , being able to be a hero without 4d6 stat rolls, games where character death is always a decision away making the dangers feel very much more real than a CR-based system, and having fun is more important than how impressively emo your character background is, come join us! Experienced players are very welcome, but I'm perfectly willing to except new players, as long as you understand what you're getting into. There are only a few core races/classes and they have limitations. But it means less complication and therefore faster, smoother play and more fun overall.  There are no 'cantrips'.  Magic-users  start as quite weak and with highly limited casting ability, but grow to be some of the most powerful characters in the world.  I could go on, but you get the point.   There are generally 2 types of non-combat rolls in the game.  One of those (which the DM rolls) is a character's naturally ability to spot things like secret doors if they're within a certain range of it.  The other is saving throws. The only exception is the thief's  'thief's skills' abilities.  I do house rule a stat-based roll on those occasions where I don't see any resolution otherwise. Anyway, I think you get the idea (if you're already familiar with these editions, then I'm sure you just zoned out during the last part lol), and I hope I have your interest!  I only mention these things to avoid the occasional request to play by someone who thinks 5e or PF is the be-all-end-all of gaming and assumes every edition of D&D is the same.  With that long-winded read being said, Come join us for some old school D&D and be part a story that will be put up for all to enjoy!
