Use distance in macro

Hello everybody, I'm wondering if there is any way to use distance in macro (or apI if applicable). What I mean is : A weapon (shotgun) does double damage when closer than 10 meters and/or buckshot cause less damage when over 20 meters. I know I could make a query asking for the distance and therefore applying the damage modifier. But I'm looking for something that would be automated since my custom system already ask a lot of query during a role. Many thanks.

API Scripter
It's only possible to do this with an API script. If you're planning to use an API script, you;d be best off reworking on the entire roll process as a custom script. You'd also have to think about: what happens if we are doing a quick fight scene without using the map? Having a script version would require you to always use the map (unless adding extra complications).
