Hex reveals

Hi, so -- I've got my players moving around on a hex-based sort of overworld map and I'm hoping to allow them to explore by slowly revealing the map as they go. Is there any way to do this by hex automatically (i.e. reveal the surrounding hexes as they move?)

There's no built-in way to do this, but since you're a Pro user, there's an API script in the one-click library that can do this, called Hexploration. You likely want to make two maps with the same world picture, because it will cover everything for the GM too. It basically adds tokens on top of the map aligned with each hex, that block what is seen. And as players move a token over the map, it removes the tokens so they can see that part of the map underneath.

There is a script called Hexploration &nbsp;which does pretty much exactly this by drawing a number of hex shapes on top of the map. It has some customization options, and seems to work nicely from the little testing I've done. It should be available as a one-click install, and I think this is the most recent thread for it: <a href="https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/6927322/script-hexploration-thread-2" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/6927322/script-hexploration-thread-2</a> Edit - ninja'd by GiGs!
