Hello and thank you for looking at my post! I've been playing D&D on and off for over 20 years and am having the damnedest of times finding a group where I don't have to be the DM. I don't hate DMing, but I prefer being a player and can't really afford the prep time for a campaign right now. Everyone I know irl that plays is already in a full group and/or groups that don't fit my weird, tight schedule. I can pretty much only play Wednesdays and the earlier the better. As a player, I am comfortable with D&D 5E but would LOVE to branch out to any other systems people are running. I love getting into character and making things happen, talking to NPCs and party members, and generally keeping a game moving. I try to know my rules and spells and pay attention to everyone else's turns so I know what to do when it's mine, and I try to roleplay and plan actions in real time because too much deliberation feels like cheating in my book! That said, I know how to share the spotlight and love seeing new players discover cool things as much as I love learning new things from other seasoned players and DMs. I've been a DM in more than one Edition and campaigns of varying lengths, so I understand the work and love that goes into even the sessions that end being anticlimactic. I'm an adult and don't bring drama to the table (unless it's in-game and doesn't ruin it). tl;dr cool player looking for a Wednesday game. Knows D&D, esp. 5e, but open to trying new systems too
