Hello! Thank you for clicking on this post! Myself, along with 3 other friends of mine, are currently looking to start/join a new 5e campaign with a DM who is committed to story telling and putting effort into their game. All four of us are big into roleplay, and therefore opportunities where choices actually matter are very important to us. (If you are really into character development, two of us have written PAGES about our characters.) We love to have fun, but know how to take scenes seriously when the settings calls for it. Just a few preferences (or in some cases, requirements) Must be LGBT+ Friendly - We have had some unfortunate experiences in the past with people not being very accepting of people. 18+ is Preferred - Sometimes D&D hits adult situations No Prior Biases - Everybody encounters a bad player, but we'd prefer against any of the "I had a previous player do this so I never trust it again" nonsense. Combat Maps - Detailed or not, our group would prefer some sort of visual representation to help us with combat. Theater of the mind works better for some than others. Effort and Commitment - We don't expect anybody to put their lives aside for the sake of D&D, but a little effort goes a long way. Whether its into story or NPC variety or whatever. We respect even the slightest hint of effort. (Two of us are frequent DMs) Open to Feedback - Players and DMs should feel comfortable giving helpful feedback back and forth. Constructive, not critical. Schedule Some of us work weekends, so our preferred times would be Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, 7pm EST at the earliest going to 12am EST at the latest. Those are the only times the four of us have in common, hopefully we can all work something out together. Obviously it's difficult to give you a lot of information about us 4 as people on a text post, so please feel free to add me on discord to ask some questions or just chat :D - Jackko#3207 Hope to hear from you, and thanks for reading!
