Descent into Avernus [LFP] [5E][Free][New players welcome][Saterdays-0730 PM Seoul Korea Time]

Welcome to Baldur's Gate, a city of ambition and corruption. You’ve just started your adventuring career, but already find yourself embroiled in a plot that sprawls from the shadows of Baldur's Gate to the front lines of the planes-spanning Blood War! Do you have what it takes to turn infernal war machines and nefarious contracts against the archdevil Zariel and her diabolical hordes? Stats are 7 X (4D6), drop lowest roll and lowest set. HP on first level are max with constitution mod, all other levels are roll.

Name: Daniel   Age: 37 Location: Netherlands, play time would be 11.30 am for me, totally fine. Playing experience: I've started playing D&D with AD&D 2nd edition when I was about 14 years old, worked my way up through 3e and 3.5e but had to stop playing when I was around 24 years old. Started again about a year ago with 5e. Wouldn't say I'm an experienced player (for example, still confusing game mechanics from older editions some times) but I can say I'm not a newb either. In your opinion, what is more important: Witty roll play or bloody battle?: I kind of like the roleplaying aspect more. If I can talk my way past some guards instead of charging them head on I would. Not shy of bashing in some skulls though. Would say my ideal game would be 65-35. Likes or dislikes of D&D gaming?: I'm pretty openminded but some things I just can't stand. Metagaming and min/maxing. Cheating is a big no for me as well. I don't like "crazy" characters either. Recently played a campaign where a lvl 2 was purposefully annoying a mature dragon, or a player following my stealthed rogue around with a light singing "We are stealthy, we are stealthy" along the way. Those, amongst others, are the reasons I quit that group and am now looking for something else. Do your ears hang low and do they wobble to and fro?: No, can't tie them in knot of throw them over my shoulders either. Will you agree to show up on a regular basis?: Yes. I'm a dedicated player. I know there's always something that could happen that could lead to a missed game but you make a commitment to 4-6 other players that depend on you to be there. I also pledge to have my attention fully on the game and won't be away half of the time because I have to cook or am distracted because there's a football match on tv (more reasons why I quit my last group...) My expectation: I'm looking for a mature and serious game. Surely joking along the way is fine, we're all here to have fun, but your character is (in my eyes) a living being that doesn't just throw his live away or does something stupid that could endanger the entire group because it's funny. I don't mind 18+ content as long as it's not e-roleplay (we had some fun with our thiefling literally rocking the shopkeeprs world with Thaumaturgy one night for example.) I usually like the good inclined plays more but don't mind a neutral/evil inclined group as long as we know it before hand and it doesn't give problems along the way (like an evil character with a paladin in the group.) Our characters don't have to be best friends and agree with everything but openly fighting one another is a no-go for me. I'd consider playing with you. I'm Tiffany, I'm 30, I have 0 actual play experience though I am well researched in the concept of roleplaying, have years of background in play by post roleplaying, and live writing / improv scene creating. I am an artist of maps and tokens and come with the potential of contributing fun bonus stuff to your campaign. I have watched Youtubers play through the Descent into Avernus and I don't know if this is just one way it would unfold or if that ruins everything. Roleplaying would be more important to me. I have no pet peeves that exist yet, although I think the idea of a dark loner isn't useful for a team based adventure, and it would be nice to have arrangements with the other characters to explain why we know each other already. You should know that I am from Winnipeg, Manitoba, in CST, and your concepts of what times people should and should not be awake have no bearing on my lifestyle (that happens to be 4:30 am...). I am always awake during that time slot, honestly it's kinda perfect, but I will be away from home for a bit of time in December, and can say with confidence I wouldn't be available to play on the 21st of December, and I'm not sure about the 28th. Other than going home to see my family for Christmas and knowing that the 21st will be a day where I definitely cannot adhere to my normal out of time schedule, I generally have that space of time available with no disruptions and the world outside is quiet. I am good inclined, and completely willing to play a dedicated healer character (but I will play other things too, I'm not psychologically prepared to play an evil person right now). I would kind of like to play a small person (dwarf, halfling, gnome). I know very little about what kind of player I may turn out to be. Do keep me in mind for future games if this won't work due to my knowledge of the module (I haven't read it, just watched one party play it) because I am very interested in a game that ends up being in the middle of the night for me. I cannot tie my ears in a knot or tie them in a bow.
