Note-Halo Mythic is a 1D100 System similar to Warhammer 40k FFG. The year is 1440, five years after the Troxian Invasion was defeated by King Conner Adama III and his wife, Elissa MacDonald of House MacDonald, the Dragonslayers. Peace has come to the realm, the Troxians retreating to the Dark Woods and the people of Avesta returning to their normal, everyday lives. The peasants farm their crops, the Knights protect their Lord’s land and answer their Lord’s war horns and the Lord’s listen to the King’s wise consul and rulership. The Order of Light (or Order of Saint Brennus as they call themselves), defenders of Jalism and His Holy Warriors, serve the Jalist Church and protect the people of the Jalist worshippers from the witch, the demon and the heathen. The name Adama itself is a name bestowed by the Jalist Church, after the mythical founder of the Kingdom, Cian Ó Adama, a King Arthur-like figured who was bestowed the name by Jrova as his ‘angel’ name. Every house that has ascended to the throne is given the name Adama, alongside their original family's name. Conner is actually a member of House Floinn, who have worn the Crown Jewel of Avesta for a hundred years. But beyond the idyllic appearance, trouble brewing in the land. Despite being married for five years, the king and his wife have not yet had a child. Normally this would not be of major concern, as the Adama family has always been rather large, but almost the entire Adama family besides Conner III was killed by Conner’s brother during the war with the Troxians, after being seduced and manipulated by Hrova (The satan of Jalism and Messerism). Conner III has no living relatives and if he does not secure an heir soon, his line will go extinct. While the Tevlar’s would then be the new royal family, many lords do not want that. Some do not want a woman to be the ruler of the Kingdom, while House Tevlar’s rivals do not want them to secure even more power and others want the Floinn line to continue. Once such lord, Duke Comgal Rowan, has been very vocal about his opinions and criticisms of the King. Rowan is a charismatic man with many children and is even related to the Adama family via marriage forty years ago. He is popular in Theas, his Dukedom, but is controversial in the rest of the Kingdom. While there are many reasons for this, one of the big ones is his religion-Messerism. Messerism is a new denomination of Jalism preached by the Zeinbradian monk Jurgen Messer who was executed as a heretic and witch in 1303 by the Order of Drest, before his execution, however, Messer recruited many followers who rose in uprising after his execution, starting a 20 year long war that ended in half of Zeinbrad being converted to Messerism and several dead Order of Light Crusaders. Ten years ago, a Messer monk named Maxi Jäger came to Dragonhold, the hold of House Rowan and requested an audience with Rowan. Rowan accepted and even allowed Jäger to stay at his court, eventually allowing Jäger to invite more Messer monks and members of the Order of Rost Gunther (A Zeinbradian Knightly order composed of Messer Knights) to establish and protect a Messer church, conversion efforts soon began, despite the Jalist Church’s protest. With Rowan’s help, the Messer priest converted most of Theas to Messerism and in 1435 Rowan was comfortable enough to order the Jalist church to leave Theas, through King Brogan I Adama, father of King Conner III (the current King) managed to intercede and prevent this, granting Rowan some of the church's land. This stabilized things until the present day. King Brogan I and almost all of the royal family was killed during the Dark War by the then heir apparent Brogan II who was under the influence of Hrova, forcing Conner III to ascend to the throne despite being the sixth son and afflicted by what we now know as scoliosis. He married the hero of the Dark War who slew the Troxian Warlord leading their invasion, Elissa MacDonald of the Dragonslayer House. Who are you? You are a member of the Order of Saint Brennus. You are either an orphan, bastard or perhaps the fourth or fifth son of a noble house. You are tasked with defending the honor of Jalism, of the downtrodden and serving our Lord Jrova. During this campaign, you will deal with the chaos of war, challenges of faith and other moral dilemmas.
