GM Info Overlay & Dynamic Lighting/Fog of War Layer Issues

I started to label some areas of a map with text to provide easy to find DC's and attack values for traps on the GM Info Overlay, but when I enabled the dynamic lighting and/or fog of war, it made it very difficult to read the text I had just placed. Ideally, text would be on its own layer and hidden tokens on another (since we do need some way to tell when a token is visible to players and when it is not). Alternatively, all tokens could remain on the token layer and we could add a right click menu option to hide the token. This would make it easier to use monsters with invisibility or stealth abilities, since we wouldn't have to switch back and forth between the layers.
I like this for hiding tokens and reading text
Could you use a different font colour for the text? If I've time my GM only layer items are 1 colour, items I'm going to move to the token/map layer another (if they have colours obviously).
I've tried a variety of colors and it really depends on the background of the map.
Is your GM Opacity for your Fow/DL just turned "down" (too opaque) too much?
Oh... durr... I prefer to turn "up" the opacity slider to make the dynamic lighting darker. Makes it easier for me to see who can see what.
I believe the GM overlay should be unaffected by the opacity or some other system needs to be created to better support the text and etc. that GMs need for their maps. Here's an idea. Create a light token in a specific location just for the GM's eyes that shows you the info you need.
