[LF1P] [Fridays 7:30 PM Central] [Homebrew] New Campaign, Humble beginnings!

Edited 1574727806
Howdy all! New campaign starting up this coming Friday (11-29-19) looking for one more player!  Everyone in the party will be from the same town - Ghandam a large town at the edge of a forest and near the mountains - Your character does not have to be from here originally, but has called this place their home for at least a year or so. Races will be slightly restricted at the start, but should a character die or be retired at a later time, some restrictions will be removed, as I am open to most races, just like to fit them into the world semi-naturally! Any race from the PHB will be permitted, For the region, Dragonborn and Humans are the most common races. The current party is: A Human Fighter, Halfling Bard, and Tabaxii Gun Witch* (*Homebrew Class.) Stats will be rolled for, come with any class, or alignment* (*Any alignment is permitted, however, should you and another party member have opposing alignments, you will not outright try and kill each other, conflict in general is perfectly reasonable.) Please submit: Your preferred name A bit about yourself RP to Combat preference Character Concept(s) you'd like to bring Any questions you may have. What I expect: Attendance , and warning ahead of time if you can't make it. Courtesy , try to avoid talking over other people when possible. There are times when this is okay of course, so don't be shy, just don't be rude. Avoid metagaming , A little banter is alright, just don't let it affect character decisions, and if it does and you recognize it, please correct yourself. Don't throw around accusations of metagaming either, most likely it was a simple mistake, and it's just a game. If anything take it up after the game with everyone. Friendly. Rules Lawyering is okay under certain circumstances: It must not completely derail the game, should be under important circumstances (i.e. My character might die if I don't lawyer well enough.) I am pretty lax when it comes to lawyering, just make sure your facts are straight before jumping the shark. Again, if there is any doubt, simply take it up with me after the session Come expecting to enjoy a few hours of fun, levity, and just enjoying a great pass time!

I will be deciding the final player on Tuesday and will have a session 0 of sorts on Wednesday, and Session 1 on Friday! Also, if you celebrate Thanksgiving, I hope you have a great holiday, and if not, enjoy your Thursday!
Your preferred name - George A bit about yourself - Long time player and DM, mostly 5E, friendly guy and easy going! RP to Combat preference - Both aspects are just as good as each other, both give the variety i enjoy in a Table Top Game Character Concept(s) you'd like to bring - Either a Cleric (Seems like you could do with a holy person!) or Possibly a Druid (One if yet to really sink my teeth into) but Im happy with any class i play! Any questions you may have. - Only thing i can think of is if you use Discord for voice chat? If so send me a Private message and i can add you on there! Hope to speak soon!
Your preferred name: Jim A bit about yourself: I'm a long-time GM and a big fan of fiction and history.  I love to read and craft stories. RP to Combat preference: I enjoy RP a lot more than combat, especially in systems where simple combat encounters take a long time. Character Concept(s) you'd like to bring: Vous'malan, a human wizard raised by elves with an ingrained inferiority complex and a tendency for unhealthy obsessions.
Please submit: Marceline (Marr-sell-leen) I'm 27, and a huge nerd. like I like dang near anything nerd related and can chat for hours about dnd. RP over combat any day for me but eventually i do wanna blast some baddie or huck a javelin into someone :) maybe 70 RP 30 Combat! I'd like to bring in a warforged, warlock paladin or full paladin, (depending on stats) named lightshield. I remake her backstory for every world I visit but she's always a fun time regardless of her stats i play her as clumsy and forgetful but very effective in combat and has strokes of genius... or just strokes depending on party members. Could you contact me in a PM if I get accepted instead of here please? I would appreciate it. Thank you for reading!
Preferred name, pronouns, and age: Vincent, he/him/his, 34. I'm American, with a general American accent and what I'd call at least above-average speaking skills. D&D and other table top experience: I played early editions of D&D extensively when I was younger, but lost touch with my group. I always kind of had an itch for D&D anyway, and enjoyed games based on it (Baldur's Gate series, and other similar series). I've played on Roll20 with D&D 5e recently, but the current group I'm with is a little bit RP-Lite, which isn't my preference. I prefer roleplay, critical thinking, and creative solutions, but I also intensely enjoy CHALLENGING combat situations. When I fight, I want it to be hard. That said, I'm more excited about playing my character and their development than what their numbers read. I'm thought-based. I'll generally try to find solutions besides "kill them" before going to that, unless that's just the one that really makes the most sense for my character. Character concept: The Young Lord Dalton Maxson Lyle, first-born of his family's minor noble house, House Lyle. He stands to inherit all the given lands and titles, but he's unhappy with his family's station. They deserve better. Or perhaps, HE deserves better. He's generally well-intentioned and he'll do heroic deeds, but he always, always wants to be entirely sure he's seen and heard doing them. Depending on the class I settle on (Sorcerer or Cleric for example), the first-born of his mother's lineage may have ties to a particular deity or entity (Phoenix Sorcerer, Divine Soul, etc) that really drives him in a way, but his primary personal drive is to better his family's name and his own personal fame towards that end. Being heroic is less important to him than being SEEN as heroic. He would always want to be the face of the group, and generally have talent towards that end. Questions: I'd like to hear YOUR preferred combat-to-RP preference?
Hi there, I would love to join but I am a shift worker (may not be able to accomodate regular session days) and I live in Melbourne, Australia (could pose time problems) Message me if you think I might fit in. I'm 52 years old...been roleplaying for 40 years. My favourite character is a wizard. I prefer to play a human because I am one in real life and don't believe it's possible to convincingly play another species (but that's just my opinion). Cheers

I have a few questions: What edd of D&D/Pathfinder? (I assume ether based on classes you listed for players playing) And games being Friday, I be moving soon. So may have to miss a couple in December. Is this ok? After move I could attend regularly.
Thank you everyone for your submissions, the group has been decided!
