A lot of the tokens that I try to deploy do not show up, for example I tried to use the archmage token , both hobgoblins, and a bandit captain, and none of those were able to deploy from either the opened page or from the npc bar. Am I doing this wrong?

Some questions: Are you dragging from the Compendium tab? Are you dragging from the Journal Tab? Have you purchased a Compendium such as the Monster Manual? SRD monsters do not have tokens.

No worries. The artwork for all of the D&D monsters is copyrighted, and belongs to Wizards of the Coast. The SRD represents information WotC has released for open usage. Compendiums such as the Monster Manual or Volo's Guide are licensed and use the artwork and the complete text of every monster they contain.
