Name- Rhawkas Age- 32 Experience with TTRPGs and 5e- Played some 4e and have been playing 5e D&D for a little over a year now. About Yourself- Big fan of fantasy stuff, whether it's books, video games, anime, or movies. I tend to be pretty easygoing and like to think I'm pretty easy to get along with. What you are looking for in this campaign- A longer campaign with a few others than we can all enjoy together and tell a fun story. Best Moment in a game- Hmm... A toss-up between two scenarios. 1. The DM allowed me to create several barrels of ground glass to blow onto an enemy army using magic. 2. Our group was camped with a caravan and the sorcerer asked the nature cleric to use speak with animals to talk to the animals the caravan had, because they thought it was amusing. The goat said it was hungry, so the cleric started feeding it whatever edible stuff she had in her pack that she had put in there and forgotten about. A rutabaga, some old bread, and a big mushroom she had found in a cave somewhere. Well, the mushroom caused the goat to start hallucinating and since the cleric still had speak with animals cast, she was hearing the goat say some weird stuff and the other people in the caravan started to get concerned about us. Things you would not like to see in this campaign- Probably just the typical things that make people uncomfortable to see in entertainment. Worst Moment in a game- Hard one here. I've had a handful of bad experiences, though most of them were more out-of-game issues. Probably either the situation with the DM that treated the "players" as an audience for his NPCs to interact with each other or the player that cheated and actively sabotaged the group "for teh lulz". Broadly, what sort of characters you like to play- I typically prefer playing melee combatants or hybrids, but for a while now I've been itching to try some pure casters. I try to come up with in-depth backstories and personalities for my characters and try my best to roleplay them accurately. I like to find out about the world or setting so I can try to create characters that fit in well with it. I do play female characters from time to time.
Is there any way that I might be able to entice you to run this in the Pathfinder 1st-ed. system, instead? Just that I like the notion - having always had a soft-spot for monstrous character options - but not only for I prefer PF to 5th-ed, I just so happen to own a number of .pdfs dedicated to monster roleplaying options (Minotaurs, Medusa, Dopplegangers, Gargoyles... even Dragons) that I am willing to share, and I, admittedly, just prefer PF as a system.
I am not at all interested in running Pathfinder.
Fair enough. :)
Name- Tanner Age- 25+ Experience with TTRPGs and 5e- about six months. read the book. watched critical role which got me into the game. About Yourself- I like telling stories and having fun creating those stories with others. What you are looking for in this campaign- An interesting story with fun characters.  Best Moment in a game- In a fate game where we were like power rangers, we high jacked this bad guys ship and ejected him through the air lock. it was the first time we really worked together as a team and really cemented our time as a team. Things you would not like to see in this campaign- The usual bad stuff, just prefer things stay pg-13 Worst Moment in a game- I played a game with one of those min-maxer types who liked to be in every scene. It didn't really seem like anyone could have a chance to do their own story progression and moments without him butting in and brashly doing things. Did not make it fun. Broadly, what sort of characters you like to play- I just like to create characters who are dynamic, that have the potential to grow, to change as the campaign goes on. They also try to work with others despite things going on.
Name- Jacob Age- 21 Experience with TTRPGs and 5e- A few years of 5e with a lot of long breaks between games, and about 4-5 hours of 13th age. About Yourself-  I spend a lot of my time reading books, or listening to audiobooks. I like most genres of any media, save for Harlequin Romance Novels(Some of the most boring stuff to read In my opinion). I like to make maps, I try my best to be  patient, understanding, and forgiving of other people. I think overall I'm a rather easygoing person who does their best to mesh well with others. What you are looking for in this campaign- I'm looking for a good and fun cooperative experience that'll provide some good memories.   Best Moment in a game- For me, the best moments in any game that comes to mind would be one of the first times I was GMing, I had a player that was a werewolf who spent much of his time baking food inside of a church, I know not very exciting or funny, but it is one of my fondest memories form a game Things you would not like to see in this campaign-  The stuff that leads to the horror stories of ttrpgs. Worst Moment in a game- There was a time when I had to sit through a fellow player arguing with the gm, about a map. The argument went on for 30-60 minutes, Same player then spent 10 minutes arguing about who went up an ladder first. Broadly, what sort of characters you like to play- I like to play rather simple and straight forward characters for the most part. I enjoy the whole normal or humble beginnings thing, granted I do like playing more complex characters from time too time.
Name-Dave Age-51 Experience with TTRPGs and 5e-Started with AD&D 1st edition back in '78, played and ran a number of games including Vampire,Werewolf,Ars Magica, Aberrant,Cyberpunk, and many others. Been playing and running 5e since it came out. About Yourself-I am married with kids, and disabled. My schedule is static, and I am very reliable. I like to think I bring experience and imagination to sessions, as well as a bit of wisdom with my age and willingness to listen and understand what others are going through. What you are looking for in this campaign-A long-term, co-operative home-brewed campaign where we get a chance to explore our characters and the DM's world together in depth. And hopefully have some fun while doing it.  Best Moments in a game-Been a lot of moments, so I will speak in generalities. For me, I think it's when you come up with that unusual idea that changes the outcome and takes things from a loss to a win and the DM is pleasantly surprised that you came up with a solution they did not think of. Things you would not like to see in this campaign-Some darkness is fine, but there should also be moments of light as well. Also, I do not enjoy when players sabotage the group because they find it funny to upset other people. We are there to have a good time together. Worst Moments in a game-When there is a lot of arguing over rules, and players are telling other players what they should be thinking and doing.  Broadly, what sort of characters you like to play-As long as I am useful to the group, I am good. For me it is more about the personality, and the background and enjoying role-playing the character.
