[LFP] [Beginner Friendly] [GMT+1] [Homebrew] enter a Fantasy RPG as *yourself*

Have you ever imagined what it would be like if you were in a fantasy world? Not your character, YOU . Dragon Eye is a new fantasy world and game system under development. I'm looking for a group on Roll20 to enter this world as themselves - no character creation needed, you know everything you know, no pretending you're not a modern human with a good education. This is not the first RPG I'm developing and I have 20 years of RPG and GM experience. But I'm new to Roll20, so at least one player who can help with the system would be appreciated. All necessary rules will be explained during the game, or in the case of magic and such, it would be better to say they will be discovered during the game. The game is focussed on roleplaying and narrative elements. There will be combat and dice rolling, but the focus isn't on battlemaps and initiative order. Players of all background are appreciated and I would like to have a diverse group of 4-6 players (so that the group can still play if someone doesn't make it to a session). I am on GMT+1 and no fixed date has been set yet, though most likely it will be an evening during the week. Post your interest together with the days and times that work for you.
I am highly interested but doubt it'll work out for me as I am in EST or GMT -5 BUT anyway I'm available any day after 9pm or after 5pm on Saturday my time. It does sound super fun thoughtfully it works out.
Man, I would not want to enter a fantasy world as me, short, fat balding old white man lol.
Howdy I'm Marceline. I'm free thursdays and sundays during the evening GMT+1. I am EST but this just means that game will be during the day for me instead of evening. I have something like 6k+ hours on the site and know how it works pretty well and do not mind teaching. interested to talk more about how the game would work. Please PM me :)

I'd love to offer you a game, but you're six hours behind so "after 9pm" is "after 3am" for me and I don't think a tired GM who should be in bed is a good idea. :-/
Possible date for a first event: Thursday (5th) at 18:30 GMT+1 around. Plan to start the game at 19:00 sharp, but we all know how life goes. PM me for an invite link.

Game is full, I will put further players on the waiting list, in case someone cancels.
2nd date is set for the 19th and there are two slots free (some people signed up but didn't show up :-( )
I'd be happy to join if there's a slot free. Interested in a divine magic/support magic role. I'm Flo, gay male, 24 yo. Hope I fit the crew.

I would like join. I am available on Wednesday(6:00 pst), Friday(6:00 pm pst), and Saturday(11 am pst). I would be interested in something that goes using strength  and being intelligent/wis.
Guys, you've read the first posting about playing yourself? ;-) I'll be happy to have you, but check that it's a match: * playing yourself as a character * Thursday * Time is 18:30 GMT+1 - I think that's 9:30 am on PST If you fit in there, post and I'll be happy to welcome you to the game.
I've read the first post and I'm quite interested in the concept. The time you've given in the last post you made currently works for me as well. I do have some questions that you may or may not want to answer before we figure it out in-game (though an easy one is 'how long do you plan for sessions to be on average?'), if there's still space and we get a chance to chat beforehand. Cheers!
We should have a chat before, because we need to make a character for you, the others already started. Ask away - maybe even here so I can answer for everyone to see. Due to the concept I might not answer all questions (because of spoilers), but ask away.
Sure, so a couple I had in mind were: How long's an average session planned to be? How is metagaming handled? I usually don't pay much attention to this since the acceptable amount differs from table to table, but this game has an interesting situation regarding this since, based on my current (admittedly shallow) understanding, there would effectively be no separation between player and character. Do you consider this to essentially be a playtest of the system you're developing, or do you think there's enough there to have a fleshed out long-term campaign of sorts? Is this planned to be long-term? What's the expected setup for RP? Voice, voice and video, text? I assume the first, but it's nice to confirm. And then it's just chargen questions from there, basically.
Average session will be 3-4 hours. Meta-gaming is essentially: You are you, so you can talk as you to the others. Don't use Google or other things that aren't present in-world, but whatever is in your head you have with oyu. There's a bit of playtesting, but I have already done playtesting of the system IRL in my face-to-face group. This is planned long-term. I do not have a fleshed out campaign, but I do have an entire world for you to explore with enough details to keep you busy for months and more detail being added every week. Setup is voice plus Roll20 for maps, but they're for flavour. I don't really do battlemaps, but it can sometimes be useful to indicate with your token just where in the tavern or dungeon you are. Character generation we'll do before the session, it's quick, just a few values. Takes 10 minutes, tops. Plus another 10 minutes to explain the basics of the game system so you know what the values mean.
Makes perfect sense to me, and session duration sounds like what I'm used to. Gimme a shout if you've got space, then; I'm interested.
I would love to apply for this if there is still opened spot
We can use one more player, yes. With you, game is full. I'll send you an invite link by PM.
