Chat Window Settings?

hi im new to roll20 as a GM and im still figuring out how to work a lot of the setting. Right now i have been making macros for all my char to make combat more streamline without having to look up the skills every time they use them. This is what i have so far: /me Beacon of Hope Daily Standard Action Divine Healing Implement Close Burst 3 (Each Enemy) Wis vs Will [[d20+@{Wis}+@{WepH}]] On Hit: Target(s) are weakened EONT Effect: You and Allies in bust regain [[5+@{Wis}]] Hp, and your healing Powers restore +5 EOE. This works great my only complaint is that when this hits the chat window it separates the marco into 2 .... Tells i guess which just breaks up the text and makes it a little harder to read. My Question is is there anyway that i can ensure that all the text shows up a a single chatbox?
4e is going to be a lot of text no matter what you do if you write out every detail of the ability. Unless you use a Mentor level subscription to get an API script to clean it up, it's spammy by nature. Depending on your game and GM, a lot of the info can be left out. Folks who play 4E a lot know the approximate details of the common effects. Just as D&D 3.5 and Pathfinder players don't usually spell out the full description of common spells You can also use it as a motivation for your players to give flavorful descriptions of what they're doing. I'd just as soon have my players desribe how their character grasps their hammer of Moridan to their chest and cause a light from the heavens to provide a Beacon of Hope to inspire his comrades to fight on... and just use the macro for the numbers. If you want to create macros that describe the ability too, the best you can do is arrange your text to fit on as few lines as possible using abbreviations. ie: instead of : Daily Standard Action Divine Healing Impliment Close Burst 3 (Each Enemy) Wis vs Will [[d20+@{Wis}+@{WepH}]] Try Daily | STD Act | DV Heal Imp l CBurst 3(ea.) vs Will [[ will calc here ]] Ally Regen [[ Calc]], .... etc
Thanks for the Suggestion i'll see about doing that. Im playing with some people who are completely new to DnD in general and none of them have access to physical source material so im trying to make the introduction process as easy and painless not just for them as new players but also for me as a new GM.
