is there a way in the game setting or anywhere than when someone makes a character and bar 1 , 2 ,3 will always show ac hp ... I'm getting tired of setting that up with new one-shots?
not what i meant. in setting up a game at the bottom you have bar one bar one max bar one value.. and so on .... can you use that so when someone new come in the game and make a new char. i pull his char out on the map ... with out going there to the token bar and filling anything out ... bar one is hp bar 2 is ac ????
You should be able to use the Character Sheet Default Settings to do this. <a href="https://wiki.roll20.net/Game_Settings_Page" rel="nofollow">https://wiki.roll20.net/Game_Settings_Page</a> It will only work for new sheets unless you use the Apply Default Settings in-app (the last part of the bottom). You'll need to know the attribute names. If you're using Roll20's D&D 5e OGL sheet, you should set Bar 1 Link to "hp" and Bar 2 Link to "ac" without the quotes. (I also like to set bar 3 as "passive_wisdom" but that's just me.)
Isn't setting up a default going to cause issues of PC vs NPC sheets/tokens? They don't have the same attributes so they don't can't have the same default.
It depends on the sheet being used and the attribute being called. In general, I set up PC tokens manually (technically I use a script/macro), and let Roll20 handle NPCs. There are usually only a handful of PCs. Once you have set up a PC and saved the default token, it will be correctly set whenever you pull it from the journal tab.
