Howdy, I'm looking for a few players to join me on a Chronicle of Dark Ages Vampire, using the V5 ruleset. I'm planning on playing Mondays, 9:00PM EST, with sessions running around 3-4 hours. Here's a description of the premise of the game: In the thirteenth century, Paris is the shining center of Europe, the jewel of an indomitable France. The monarchy is strong under the regency for King Louis IX, and the English have been all but evicted from the continent. To the South, the fires of the Albigensian Crusade still smoulder: the Cathar Heresy has been crushed in a wave of relentless violence. In mockery of mortal society, the undead of France have assembled into the Courts of Love -- opulent and degenerate vampire societies, seduced by mortal notions of chivalry and romance. Rulership over the Toreador-Ventrue Grand Court of Paris has been shared between Geoffrey, the Ventrue Prince of Paris, and Queen Saliana, the Toreador matriarch of the Courts of Love. This has been the way of things for eight years, since Geoffrey’s sire, the Methuselah Alexander, was deposed from Paris in 1222. Yet the Grand Court is in decline. Geoffrey’s authority slips further each night, Cainite refugees pack the city streets, and Alexander’s spies plot for the ancient monstrosity’s return. In the face of this calamity, Queen Saliana prepares to host a grand tourney in the city -- challenging cainites to games of prowess, chivalry, and skill. The victors stand to win wealth, domain, and titles of esteem; while those proven ‘undesirable’ stand to be driven from the city bounds. The astute may find that there is far more at stake within Paris.
