I'm i blind???

So i just want to get a fresh character sheet for 5e, then put the data i already have on to that sheet, and finish by connecting that sheet to the game i'm trying to begin playing.  Am i missing the clear signs on where i need to go for that?  Or is the site honestly expecting me to write a bunch of code for even the most basic parts needed for starting a new game?
