Comparative advertising ban

I would ask for a ban on users posting comparative advertising on Roll20. While I have full understanding that this is common in any competitive market, we all share a platform, and this produces unnecessary negativity. My suggestion would be something like “Do not describe your game or product or service in a comparative way that defines others as being of a lower quality or value”   In short, comparative advertising is when you promote your product by stating that other products are worse than yours. On this site, I often see this when someone is promoting their game, their style of play, their players or even them selves personally. “my players are more dedicated” “I am more professional” “this game has a higher quality” “this is the cheapest option” -First problem here is that it implies that the rest of us are doing a bad job.   It is negative and perhaps even aggressive.   -Secondly it is very debateable if it is even true. I doubt that there are any customer surveys or hard facts behind these statements, making this deliberate false advertising. -Thirdly a lot of this is aimed towards services and products purchased via Roll20. - It is fairly absurd to buy an adventure module and pay a subscription, only to see Roll20 publish statements implying that my maps are of a low quality. (This might even be grounds for a refund) Anyway 2 last things to conclude this. 1 I get it that comparison is feels natural, as we have seen it so many times. I also understand that some bragging is OK, but I would recommend focusing on the good qualities, rather than how bad everyone else is. 2 I anticipate that someone will soon declare that this already is (partially?) covered by the existing rules.   -Then please start enforcing it :)  (And yes I recently notified you about a situation)
