About the game: I am going to be starting up a Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition game based in a home-brew world. Along with the home-brew world there will be some tweaks and additions in the form of home-brew rules which will be fully elaborated and presented later on. This game will primarily be based with Theater Of The Mind , which entails there won't be maps for being in a town, battles (at times,) and things in that nature. Also I'd like it that we (Myself, as Storyteller, and players I hope to add to the game) take our role-play seriously, or at least not cracking jokes every other word. I hope/plan for this group to become more than a random group of strangers who only converse and associate with only on game days, to a group of friends and companions who can enjoy each others company for many times to come. As for the setting here is a hook below to entice you all a little more than simply saying “I’m hosting a game, who wants in?”: Our home was once a paradise for all the empire shined upon. The arcane was potent, the divine were present, and the populace lived without very much worry. Though one day a vile plague sprouted with the celerity of a wildfire leaving numerous falling ill and dead. The corpses rising up to slay their own neighbours, communities, rural areas, and the countryside. Only to be discovered this was all being the work of Liches, Vampires, and Mindflayers working in cooperation with the Drow. Continents started to fall as people desperately fought while others fled in hopeless attempts to reach the capital in seek of refuge and safety. However, one by one many places started to fall, communications started to grow thin, and there was only terror and panic left in most citizens. The emperor made a decision. When departing to the air with the few airships remaining and as much populace as they could all fit; To allow the few arch magi do what they must to assure safety for what we had left. We are settlers in a strange land, fleeing our catastrophic end from a previous prime material plane. It seems we have fled to a new back-wards world and have decided to teach them our ways, by force if necessary. To rebuild the empire and eventually take back our home from the vile scourge that overtook it. Playtime & Time-zones: Currently. The game is planned to play on Fridays starting at 7 PM GMT, 11 AM PST / 2 PM EST, and sessions often lasting four hours give or take a bit more depending on where the story is presently at that time. (Or if folks want to keep going) Important Information: I welcome and encourage new and inexperienced Dungeons and Dragons players! If you are new to Role-playing or Dungeons and Dragons in general, then please do not be discouraged to send in your application. I highly discourage rules lawyers in my game and because of this have no problems welcoming newcomers into the game. I will be willing to fully assist you in character creation and understanding the rules required to play. We will be using Discord as our VoIP and will also be the application I use to interview everyone a tiny bit before just blindly inviting someone in. Enjoyment and Role-play is my top priority! Enjoyment control isn't easy with two people not conversing correctly to one another and explaining how they feel about something, so I ask that if there is an issue or something preventing you from a better playing experience that you inform me. This way we can see what we can do to try and improve the situation if at all possible. As stated before, I enjoy more serious role-play. This means that we can have many sessions that consist only of dialogue and minimal dice rolling. So if you’re looking for action and combat packed session each day we play, then you may not fully enjoy this game, unless you go about causing conflicts. How Do I Join? To join our game, simply send myself a private message with the following information inside of it. Any applications posted on the forums will be ignored unless it's to give positive feedback so others may see the posting. Please note: I will be looking over every application and responding to each one on whether or not you will move to the second phase of the interview process, or if your application simply isn’t what we’re looking for. Also, please be as descriptive as you can! The more detail you put in, the more you’ll stand out from the rest! And please note that unless specified, I am asking for your real life information, not that of your character. Thank you!
