Hey folks! Long story short, my lady and I are looking for a long term game to play in, that has a focus on roleplay and story. Combat is great, but should not be the entirety of the game, preferably. She lives in New York and I'm in Ireland, but we're both around for quite a while starting from 8PM EST and 1AM GMT on Friday and Saturday. System wise, I have no great preference, though bear in mind that while I have some experience with D&D, it's been a while, and she has very little exposure to tabletop in general. We're both very willing to learn, but we ask that you be patient with us while we come to grips with it and get accustomed to vocal RP and the mechanics - we both kind of suck with numbers! As for setting, fantasy would be preferred, but honestly we're probably willing to give almost anything a shot, as long as we gel well with the group. We're both hugely into RP, and we've got nearly 40 years of written roleplay between us, so we are very down with leaning into that. Character journals, supplemental short stories, all that jazz are very much up our alley, and something we'll probably do in our spare time. Ideally, we'd be in this for the long haul, but I do stress that we're trying to find the group that we click with the best, so if things don't work out, there's no hard feelings whatsoever!
