Add GoDice API to Roll 20?

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1928372437/godice-your-favorite-dice-games-reimagined It is a bluetooth connected dice. They say they have an open api to use, but I could not find if it was JS or something that could easilly translate to roll 20. I think however, it would be pretty boss to have real dice rolling to Roll 20 if you have them.

This would be kinda interesting, pity the "RPG set" with enough dice & d4,d8,d12,d20 shells costs $99, and availability for those sets will dissapear in 2-3days as they are part of Early-Bird pledges. How I figure this could (eventually be implemented): (the upcoming Q1 2020)Roll20 mobile app need to add Bluetooth/GoDice API support In-campaign, a Roll20 API script dedicated to GoDice would read the results and output the rolls in the chat(so it's up to the GM to install the GoDiceRoll20 API script to allow use) there would be some indicator the roll wasn't made with QuantumRoll the GoDiceRoll20 API events would be available for others to create their own APIs using the dice. When the GoDice are available to be bought (with the RPG set shells) and Roll20's mobile app is available, I can consider casting a vote for this, but not currently. So I'll try to remember to check this thing out next autumn when people have got their dice and are available for others to buy.

Same as Andreas, will want to see if they are successful beyond the kickstarter investors state to a reliable production state. Would hate for Roll20 to embed support for it, for it to die in a year and now they are suck supporting it for the 30 people that used it here. Also the true randomness of them, I fear they will be outcome heavy on some rolls, not an unusable amount, but unless they take a LOT of care with that setup inside they look as if they might be 'accidentally' biased weighted. So not against the idea, it seems cool. But need to wait on the maturity of the product and proven viability, more so than the willingness to implement it from Roll20 before Id put my vote.

Having read the Kickstarter page, this is a cool idea. With a recorded history of rolls and a little statistical analysis, you could spot things like growing bias from dice wear, loaded dice or dice mechanic (cheating) throws. Mostly I'm impressed with the use of supercapacitors. I've got friends who are electrical engineers who love to whine about how batteries suck--so supercapacitors are pretty futuristic! Roll20's API is at least documented, if not fully open. I don't know what kind of security issues would be presented from putting the hooks there for third party tools to send dice results. I agree with DXWarlock, it's probably better for the third party companies to write logic that works with Roll20's API rather than the other way around. Don't get me wrong though, it's a cool idea! Like all cool ideas, I just like to explore how they ramify. I vote yes.
I am on the fence about buying into them for the same reasons. They made their funding goals, so the product will be made, etc. Given that the company that made them is pretty much unheard of and they have 13/14 successful campaigns, I am leery about plinking 100 down to have no use for them. Especially since I don't code, so it would be a plug and play demand on my part (for now). I did share with developer buddies, so hopefully they are interested enough to do something with them.
