I currently have a main game campaign going on with my friends where I have shared with them my compendium.  I want to do a one shot on a new game for 1 week.  If I remove the compendium sharing from the main game to the one shot and then after the 1 shot game move it back, does anything weird happen? Thanks.

Other than that players will temporarily lose access to the compendium, you should be fine. Character sheets and handouts in the game should be undisturbed.
