[Online][5E][EST] Princes of the Apocalypse Module

Hey guys! I'm looking for one (1) more player for our Princes of the Apocalypse module in  Roll20.net . Please read below for more information. Key points : We are between chapters 3 and 4 in the module and new players will start at the current party level 8. Your familiarity with the module and story are not required but if you wish to join please understand that you'll have missed approximately half of the story so far. I can easily bring you up to speed along with the rest of the group (both in and out of character). Beginner-friendly game - no experience with D&D 5e required (though it will be helpful) - the macros built into the character sheets / charactermancer in R20 are pretty useful No homebrew is allowed, all character stat rolls are done by me and supplied via Discord / R20, characters must be created using R20 (charactermancer if possible), and character flaws, traits, ideals, bond, back-story / bio, etc. is required, as well as faction (EEnclave, Zhentarim, Harpers, etc.). All official material is allowed including Unearthed Arcana (artificer, gunslinger, new sub-classes, etc.) but is subject to my direct approval (I'm pretty lenient and absolutely love a creative character concept if you've got one) Current party in regular attendance is Eldritch Knight, Dreams Druid, Evocation Wizard, and Maelstrom Druid One (1) player in irregular / inconsistent attendance (newborn baby) Zealot Barbarian for the occasional cameo When considering a character to play I urge you just to play something you might enjoy and prioritize FUN over the needs of the group or class diversity. We're a group that is all about finding the FUN rather than crunching the minutiae. We game consistently on Friday nights, bi-weekly, 6p-10p EST, using Google Calendar invitations (we're all adults between 30 and 45yrs old and consistent schedule / attendance is important Roll20, Discord (working mic / post-application interview), internet connection, email address for Google Calendar invites / responses) - required Game is primarily a dungeon-crawl and mystery-solving adventure but we try to make time for roleplay opportunities. If you join this game be prepared for fighting LOTS AND LOTS OF CULTISTS in closed-quarters underground combat. Game-pertinent announcements are made in Discord, scheduling conflicts, general discussion, as well as in-character between-session roleplay so semi-regular (every few days up to once per week or so or just set your Discord notifications) Discord attendance / checking is important The core members of the group have been playing together in real-life for 10 years, 6 years, 2 years, and a new player who joined about 5 months ago. We no longer live near-enough to roll NATURAL 20's!!! in real-life but we keep the camaraderie and kinship and magic alive with lots of laughter and awesome gaming chemistry online. We're really looking for a person who meshes well with our culture and fits-in with our style of gaming. No one knows what the future holds but I would like to add a group-member who is open to being a part of a long-term minded gaming group. Princes of the Apocalypse isn't our first campaign and it certainly won't be our last. Edit: It was brought to my attention that I should mention our openness to all races, genders, ethnicities, and walks of life. We're a bunch of dudes in our 30's and 40's but we're open-minded, fun-loving, warm, and welcoming. We don't see sex or color or socioeconomic divisions - if you're a gamer and you can command the English language fluently that's all that matters; everything else is gravy. How to Apply If you're interested send an email to "brent (dot) goren (at) gmail (dot) com" with the following information: Brief introduction of yourself that includes (but isn't limited to): Name you prefer (pronoun preference too if that's relevant) Age Location / timezone (we currently have a player on the British Isles but most people are on the East Coast) Familiarity with D&D 5e A character concept you're interested in playing the Princes of the Apocalypse module A few potential times for a Discord interview (will take approximately 30-40 mins) that fit within the following schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 530p - 930p Wednesday 830p - 930p
Hey guys!  Thank you for the responses.  As a reminder:  Please follow the instructions at the bottom of the post regarding how to apply for the spot. Also, I'd be willing to add a 2nd person to the group and run with 5-6 members for the right person.  Again, I stress that we're looking for people who really mesh with our group dynamic and chemistry and potentially long-term minded.  Looking forward to hearing from you! Brent
