Hi! I'm the storyteller for a group playing in the Forgotten Realms, during the (AD&D) era of the Old Grey Box, for the veterans out there that may remember those days. We use 5th edition, however. The campaign has been running for only a few sessions, but between Real Life / festive days interference and the usual foibles of a newly formed group, we've dropped to two players. We'd love two more, if possible, and thus I come to you all. As a group, we're definitely inclusive. I'm part of the LGBTQ spectrum, and we've got non-Anglo and pagan members, and all of those are perfectly welcome. We respect each other, enjoy our differences (and the things that unite us), and look forward to more adventures the following weak. Since my two (wonderful) players are both male, and I'm non-binary, I'd love to balance things a little by finding at least one female-identifying player, but at the end of the day, I won't judge you on gender or the like. Finding a good match of personalities is always going to matter more. I suppose we're a fairly mature group. Our youngest is mid-20s, and I'm about double that in age. Somewhere in that ballpark should work for us and, hopefully, for you. Our gaming style so far is focused in mysteries and investigation. The players are assertive, which I definitely appreciate, but with more consideration than brashness - and I appreciate that even more. The campaign, so far, has hinted at political intrigue, although the PCs are, of course, mostly touching upon things from the fringes, so far. I'm not using any published modules, but using the amazing amounts of world background that's available to bring some lesser-known parts of the world to life. As a result, people are currently getting ready to be embroiled in plenty of behind-the-scenes stuff in 13th century (Dale Reckoning, of course) Impultur. Don't worry, though, if you're no lore master - I'll be most happy to get you settled in, and there's a lot of good info available, if you are the type of player than wants a character to really have roots. To an extend, that's probably helpful, since I'm fairly sure that we've had, so far, more History checks than attack rolls. I cannot promise how long that will hold up, of course, but I *love* offering background info, and inquisitive players will likely have a lot to look forward to. Our game is played mostly in theatre of the mind style, using Discord primarily, supported by Roll20. A good mike and comfortable command of English is important, both spoken and written. Note, that you don't need to be a *native* speaker! I'm not a native English-speaker, myself, and although I have a bit of an accent, so far it seems my players haven't had a problem with that. And hey - we can always ask someone to repeat a phrase they didn't catch; it's happened to me, before. Reliability in attendance is paramount, and if you cannot commit to the game time - please be honest up front about it. I'm not sure, since we regrettably had someone leave we definitely enjoyed the company of, whether more flex in our schedule is possible, but I suspect that the *time* is fixed, even if the day may not be. It will be, however, a weekday evening (GMT) / evening (EST) game, no matter what. If the above sounds appealing, please send me a message! I'll do my best to give everyone a fair shake, but please keep in mind that I'll do my best to match the current gaming environment I've laid out, above. Regards, Pat
