Player Looking for Star Trek RPG (Decipher: CODA System)

Hey, I'm wondering if anyone is playing a Star Trek RPG game. I just bought the Player's Guide (CODA System), but the friends I play with in person are not fans of Star Trek. If anyone is playing just let me know when and what time.
I am a fan of Star Trek! ;D
You had me up until CODA, which is, by far, the worst incarnation of the Star Trek RPG. Grab a copy of the LUG version and I'm in. :)
What about running a game using Savage Worlds?
How can you just let this thread die?
Mainly because there only seems to be two people interested. I haven't read to much into LUG, but I am a fan of Savage Worlds. Did you have anything in mind? I'm looking more Next Generation then Original.
Next Gen or DS9 era would be fun. I'm also kinda partial to ENT era, but that's not exactly a fan favorite so...
Nope, not gonna let this die.
Then we went let this thread die. What is you favorite era? What is your favorite game system? Have you ever played the CODA system?
Era: Not picky, practically anything would work for me. System: Savage Worlds I've no experience with CODA. I was looking over the documentation for the LUG version, to be honest I was slightly put off by it.
I played Savage Worlds (Deadlands and Rippers) and I like the system. I think the CODA system runs a lot like the d20 system except from what I can tell it uses 2d6.
I'd be interested in a Star Trek D&D but not familiar with either CODA or LUG really.
We need to find somebody interested in running this.
Yeah, it would be nice to finally be able to play some Star Trek. The friends I play with in person have never watched anything but the new movie.
Your friends are terrible people.
I could create and run a standard D20 campaign if it was wished. I wouldn't be able to create feats or skills or anything like that on the fly, but I do have a pretty encyclopedic knowledge of Star Trek lore...
What d20 system, Modern or 3.5?
Modern I guess, but it'd be very character/story driven either way.
I suggest looking at the CODA system if you can, it runs similarly to the d20 system if you want some ideas on skills and feats.
I would absolutely be down for this! I'm up for any era really, and -- as I'll be learning a new system no matter which way you guys want to go -- any system.
If anything comes out of this I would also love to join! I am a huge Star Trek fan (all series, although I don't like most movies and especially hate the newest one), but I also live in Europe which prevented me from playing all the time. So basically, I have no experience in any system whatsoever. I just created a character in Pathfinder and that's it. But if you were willing to teach me how to play in the beginning, I would be very glad to join! I also have pretty solid knowledge of things in Star Trek. The only episodes I didn't watch are the animated series and the latter three seasons of Voyager.
Something I threw together the other day, seems appropriate here... the ships were made into png files using photoshop.  The beams were done with the polygonal drawing tool, and the end of the beam effects done with the freehand drawing tool.
I'm still leaning towards Savage Worlds, but that's just me. Modelling ship combat is a little iffy in that system though... I'm kinda into tactical combat.
