How was that for a long title? Sundays, 20:00pm GMT, weekly As you've likely guessed, this will be a D&D 5E game utilising Adventures in Middle-Earth . It's worth my declaring that despite several years of tabletop RPG experience, this will be my first time DM'ing/playing Dungeons & Dragons. Apparently I'm just a special snowflake like that. For this reason newbies are completely welcome as they're less likely to pick up on mechanic-invoked second hand embarrassment. This will be a text-based campaign with an emphasis on roleplaying. Voice communication via Discord is optional and for use in the event questions/combat bogs things down too much. Not everybody needs use it and, frankly, I'd prefer not to in order to maintain the flow of both the game and immersion, but I appreciate in text-driven games things can sometimes grind to a screeching halt without it.
