Welcome to the City of Wonders, Waterdeep! Tis the most illustrious and civilized part from this side of northwest coast, with enourmous enchanted walls to protect its citizens from the dangers of the outside, a complex web of guilds to make business flourish and a system lead by the Masked Lords and the Open Lord of Waterdeep that allow the word of law to stand high and proud. But the most important part are not the city's gigantic statues, nor the grand halls of the Waterdep Palace. What is so remarkable about this city are its customs, and no tradition is as old as the "Great Game" . What the Great Game is changes over the centuries. Originally, the Game was just a fool's errand, some sort of urban myth fabricated by thieves or other less-than-decent folk, but now it's a reckless mad hunt, and this year promises not just fame and glory, but also riches. In the past weeks of this eventful Spring, there have been rumours of a hidden underground complex stuffed with traps and other hazards, as well as a treasure of half a million gold coins to whoever manages to find it. Blood has been spilled in the streets of Waterdeep and many powerful figures of the underworld are preparing to make their move. A tale of revenge, greed and intrigue is about to unfold in the unsuspecting streets of the City of Wonders. Who will solve the enigma of Lord Neverember and claim the cache of dragons? Introduction Huzzah! Hello traveller. My name is Ron and I've been gming for around 6 years. I've gone through Mutants & Masterminds, to Monsterheart, to Shadow of the Demon Lord, and now I'm reading Fate. I've been told that I put a bunch of minuscule small details to everything I do, and I sometimes overwork myself to death so, expect that to happen. English is not my first language, but I'm fairly decent with it in spite of having a weird accent. The Game What I offer you here is an adventure of consequence and reward. You have somehow learned about the Great Game and you want in. The reasons are up to you. Perhaps duty, curiosity, faith or greed. You never know what kind of crazy character players can come up with, but I always stress the need of a common goal. Apart from that, I don't have any race restrictions (This includes tortle, aasimar, etc, but not homebrew races). We will be using the official module provided by Wizards of the Coast, as well as an expansion. This means that you won't get to face just one villain, but all the factions that are interested in the Enigma of Neverember. Be careless enough and ANOTHER faction might jump in and join the Great Game. There are no legal TPKs, and if you ever end up in court, I will give you the tools to properly defend yourself with an extra douse of court drama. Sessions will take place between 7 to 11 PM GMT-3 / 5 to 9 PM EST, we will use Discord for voice chat and Roll20 for the maps, characters and the dice rolls, and sessions will take place biweekly (So that the GM gets to rest and prepare the material, as well as host other games) If you want to join, tell me a little about yourself, previous tabletop experience and character or characters you are thinking of playing with (Long bios are welcomed BUT not needed). Thanks for your time and Happy Brainstorming.
