Ant Ant crats masterwork bottles for Portia's 'Plum Port' wine giving it a premium look. Mamm Mamm paints a beautiful family portrait with Nim. Skag Skag continues to learn from Salazar di Fioretti in the arts of the arcanum. Perhaps brushing off just a little bit of his usual gross demeanor and appearance. (2/3) Diesa Diesa begins partaking in special training from the dwerren of Daikhar Zhigun. The book is extremely strange in that it's simply fashion tips for beholders; of which there is only a single one. The book has depictions of The Beholder wearing pretty dresses, long bow ties, ribbons, and other frilly things. It very clearly states that PURPLE is the most important, and beautiful colour in existence, and anyone who thinks otherwise should be killed. It also emphasizes the importance of frills in dresses. OOC: will take 4 weeks to learn. Galena Galena learns how to use the heavy crossbow. Aubrae Aubrae finds a sidhe teacher by the name of Devlynn. He's a strict old man, and requires payment in advance to teach. His lessons are long, strict, and harsh. Yet Aubrae is starting to pick up on the language quicker than she would otherwise. She'll still need more time to fully get there, but she's making progress. Agatha Agatha finds a Vos teacher by the name of Lena. She'll need to be paid coin, but if you house her in Proudglaive it'll only cost half the normal amount. OOC: we already handled the other bit in Discord. Nim Nim's practice is bringing her closer, but she still hasn't quite mastered Midgardian yet. She paints a nice family portrait with Mamm. Prudence As Prudence begins the ritual other alseids begin to show up to assist in the endeavors. Prudence will need lots of gold in rare incense, herbs, and other driuidic devices to help her sisters continue their endeavors. Not to mention food! As long as she can afford to look after them though, they will continue work on the new facility. Portia Portia does some research, and learns a bit about Nesirie . Berry Berry starts learning how to cook from Nim, but his large hands mean many of her tiny-handed techniques are not very helpful. He'll need more time to learn. His mother sends him back the recipe for her pottage pie. 1 handful of diced carrots 1 handful of diced parsnips 1 handful of diced onions 1 handful of sliced mushrooms 1 handful of diced leeks 1 head of chopped cabbage 1 handful of chopped green beans a pitcher of vegetable broth with a bit of salt 1 bay leaf (2 if you really want to go crazy!) a pinch of sage dried, and rubbed a pinch of dried thyme two pinches of black pepper pinches of salt to taste some good red wine, no cheap stuff! a bit of fruity vinegar a handful and a half of rolled oats a half handful of barley flakes pie crust (you better know how to make this!) Just add the carrots, parsnips, onions, and turnips into a large pot with a bit of the broth. Once it's all nice and soft like add the mushrooms, leeks, cabbage, and beans then let it simmer for just a bit. You want all the vegetables to get to know each, but not too well! It's a vegetable party, not a wedding! Next add the rest of the broth, the seasoning, and the wine. Keep that sucker stirred well. It's not a party unless your veggies get drunk! Once the party gets all boiling hot like let it go for awhile until everybody drinks up all the liquid, and gets all thick in the head. Once that's done stir in the stale barley and oats. Keep the party going for another while longer, but eventually those sticks in the mud will bring everything to an end. Finally add in the vinegar, remove the leaves, and make sure everything tastes all good. Once that's done just toss it in a pie, and cook it till its done. Or you know, you could just eat it as pottage stew. Up to you! Love ya, Mama! Aelar Aelar trains, and improves his abilities. Dragomir Dragomir spends time waiting around for Larmedlyth to return, but she seems to be purposefully avoiding him. In fact purposely avoiding mostly everyone. She's not seen for the entire month. The elders say she is grieving. Orithar Orithar reads about summoning creatures of the shadow world, and discovers the spell 'Summon Lesser Demons' is in the book. If his mastery of magic advances beyond the third circle he thinks there might even be higher level magic hidden away in the pages. He'll still need to spend time and gold to learn any spells from the book assuming he wishes to do so. Fenris Fenris learns Sylvan. Sithric Sithric is able to find a bowyer there who can craft the bow, but it will still cost 1000 golden flowers in coin as only the bests bowyers can craft with the material. It does save a little bit of money overall though, especially considering dragonbone usually costs much more than mundane materials. If created the bow might be easier to enchant with certain elemental magics related to the dragon bones it was made with. Though finding someone to enchant a weapon is another story entirely. Eirena Eirena learns the foul, and evil langauge of Infernal from Orithar. Shango Shango rests, relaxes, and pays his quiet respects to Bellasaar. Robert Robert looks around for recipes, and finds a recipe reading: "The blood of a pure stag, the feather of an angel, and the tears of an innocent child. Boil the blood, grind the feather, and mix them with the tears. Then when the moon dawns on The Day of the Dead drink the vial, and proclaim Vosca Veita Vosta!" Brognir Brognir continues working on his book religiously. It's coming along quite nicely. Valravan Valravan looks for books, and discovers that Nasaadi once furiously ruled over The Realm of The White Witch. She hates humans who supposedly murdered her 1000 times in 100 years. She's never forgiven them for the pain and suffering they brought to her. Tristan Tristan tries the aging potion. It perhaps makes him a year or so younger, but does nothing to relieve him of his curse. Pinna accepts his assistance for now, but tells him it's only for a month or so. Vincent Vincent masters Karamhul rather quickly. His rude way of speaking seems to blend seamlessly with the Dwerren's coarse attitude. Korak Korak makes some progress, and develops a prototype that can go for 1 minute's time before it starts burning the wearer's leg again. He makes a Mithril Wrist Mirror (10x the cost of a mirror). Hedrin Hedrin spends time with Cordie learning, praying pranks, and generally having fun. Cordie meets a talking cat, but the cat simply acts like an ordinary housecat around Hedrin. It meows, purrs, and lazes about. It most certainly never talks in front of him, nor whilst he is listening in. Lolgon Lolgon retires. Medi Medi checks in on her sister, and The Kallanon informs her that it might not be possible to restore her. The Heart of The White Stag which roams the ancient woods in The Realm of The White Witch might be able to restore her to normal. However the beast is considered beacon of goodness, and freedom. Not to mention braving the White Witch's domain is no easy task. Saorise Saorise begins trying to learn Draconic from Aisha, but the small alien creature isn't particularly good at explaining the intricacies of her language. Cordie Cordie in her search does indeed find Baba Migori. She tells Cordie that she might have just the thing, and tells her she'll be sending a friend her way. The next morning Cordie is approached by a talking black housecat who introduces herself as follows: "Greetings! I am Lesharrkk, the proud pride-mother of the oldest and most ferocious pack of black griffons in The Margreve. My tower was overrun by brigands, and my prides mates all lie dead on the forest floor. My eggs are held hostage, and I have been transformed into the small form of a housecat that you see before you now. I would ask you retrieve my eggs before they hatch, and in return I will offer you not just my gratitude, but all the treasure left by my previous masters of the Still Tower. More importantly The Margreve might look kindly on someone being so kind as to help her denizens." Assuming Cordie is interested in helping her she will then tell Cordie the following: "Very well then; if you are truly interested make your way up the River Argent. When you arrive at the great city of Zobeck you can then head east up the Great Northern Road. Whilst traveling follow the road carefully, and speak kindly to the hunters who travel there. They will be able to show you a small hunting trail just north of Old Mikhail's Inn. This trail leads to the hidden entrance of the tower. I will be waiting there for you, or whatever other trustworthy fool is bullish enough to partake of my quest." Ingund Ingund retires. Shlar Shlar's study grow his connection to the arcane, and the circles of magic. Lindal Lindal practices his Karamhul, but spends half the time calling it Dwerren instead. Once he gets the name of the language correct a few of the Dwerren begin teaching him the basics of how to speak Karamhul. Theodoric Theodoric finishes his training with Master Valravan, and manages to mix arcane spells with martial prowess. Darvius Darvius trains hard to grow and improve his abilities. Thorg Thorg has trouble finding good work for whatever reason, and only pulls in 72bp for his time. Zolis Zolis' old man fighting style has improved through mastering the elderly surprise. Theq Theq's understanding on his own mortality, and the cycle of life and the spirits improves.
