Backstory: My name is Aramin Greenhill , and I come from a small village hidden deep in the Witden Wood called Moonshadow . We lost many to the plagues, which were spreading throughout the lands in years past. As our numbers dwindled, we weren't sure how we would sustain ourselves, as we were secluded, and tucked away from the world. Many of our farms were withering away because the owners and workers had either become ill, or had past into the great beyond. We began to seek guidance from the Seers of Rebirth , who lived atop the Malwick Mountains beside our village. They told us of a magic which most found evil, morbid, and disgraceful to both the living and the dead. This magic was know in the common tongue as " Necromancy ". With the use of this study of magic, we could bring the bodies of our fallen brethren back from the dead, and use them to help our village survive. Although not everyone agreed to this new way of life for our little village, it seemed the only solution to our situation. So we sent some of our scholars to learn of this magic. They were known as the Clerics of the Veil . They learned little, and were shunned by most. We attempted to use what knowledge they had gathered, but that mistake cost us dearly. The scholars were able to animate the dead, but could not control them. They were slaughtered. We eventually gained, on our own, the ability to control these creatures, but more knowledge is needed if we are to prosper. This is where my story begins. I have been sent by the seers to this place in the hopes that I may someday return with the knowledge and experience to save the village. As the son of our towns leader: Amand Greenhill : Elder of the Woods , it is my duty, if ever I am to follow in my fathers footsteps and lead my village out of turmoil, to master this craft to its fullest, both in living and dying myself. Stories are told of necromancers who are dead, but still wander these realms. Necropolitans they're called. I must find one of these, and learn the way to become one. I have been sent along this path, instructed that my goal will be reached in due course. I must become powerful, and knowledgeable enough to be able to save and protect my village in the years to come.
