1) Tal, Einar Thrüm (Lolgon replacement) 2) SlothSlow#1527 3)  As a boy he grew up in a proud Vos family in Velenoye following the old ways of raiding. Dragged around by his family to raids they got brash after a line of successes and attacked Merasaf proper. Unfortunately for them word of their arrival was spread from loose tongues and the raiding band was slaughtered upon arrival leaving the boy parent-less at age 9. Einar found refuge in a city sticking to the streets and scraping by stealing food where he could to survive.  Somehow managing to live to adulthood he was scouted by a Kinasi noble for his knowledge of the back streets and trained to be a loyal guard. Over time Einar grew older and grew to respect his new homeland mostly forgetting about his old home and the few siblings left behind in Velevove. His relationship with his master Nathifa Turay was a good one and great respect was held between the two. Unfortunately the two grew older and Nathifa passed away, the woman while noble could not bear children of her own held love for the abandoned children of the land and left behind an orphanage for urchins, Einar now runs the establishment off of donations and looks to work in the Cohort with his defensive skills to make some extra money keep things running.

Galzira's hometown was destroyed by enemies unknow and was the last survivor and since then has vowed to help all hanner sidhe and sidhelien so that none other have to suffer the same way she did because of the actions of whom she suspects were humans because of the prjedices that were passed onto her living with shidelen growing up. She battles with the thirst of vengeance and with every evil doing that she shes caused by humans the more she grows to hate them herself and come to the conclusion that it was humans fault for what she endured.

Issues: You need to make your picture a token. You can do so using TokenTool , or Token Stamp 2 . You don't have any gold listed on your equipment, but you do have 110 gold listed under treasure. Either way this is wrong. You should have standard class equipment, and the gold that comes from your background. Items can be sold at half value. Gold should be recorded under your equipment so that weight can be tracked. You entire proficiency section for weapons, armour, and language is pretty bad, and need to be cleaned up. Something with your stats doesn't add up. If I assume you're a vanilla human then you haven't spent all of your stat points, and if I assume you're a variant than you've spent too many. I don't see a feat on your character sheet. Your race is listed as Khinasi, but your background implies you come from a lineage of Thaele. Khinasi are descendants of the Basarji people who arrived in Cerilia by boat. Your background ties you in with a sultan which generally isn't okay without special permission from a DM. Usually I approve characters, and let people fix the issues with their sheets and everything afterwords. However you have so many issues I'm going to have to ask you to correct some of them, and try again. If you need help hop onto our Discord channel, and ask. Your backstory is also rather fantastical, and might need to be toned down to fit into Cerilia. Keep in mind if you want to multi-class in our game it'll need to be handled in game as well. That means there will need to be a story reason for something like gaining a warlock patreon, or a sorcerer's bloodline. We aren't overly strict on this, but you'll need to communicate with the DMs to make it happen. I'll go ahead, and quote the wiki here: When making a character in this game please keep all of this in mind. Your character can certainly have some essences of magic in the backstory, but it should be more akin to Celtic folkales, and other historical fairy tales. Certainly at level 1 your character shouldn't have any grand accomplishments, and should for the most part be an ordinary person who has recently joined the Cohort Arcanum . Do not worry; this does not mean your character will not become a hero over time! However starting out your character should be an ordinary person who has yet to prove themselves in the world. I know you already played a pregen with us earlier today, and you will be able to apply that XP towards this new character. Thanks a ton. :3

I hadn't learned much of the lore before I read that and plan on remaking my character completely Ive made her as a character but I haven't remade her background/personality yet still trying to figure out how to shape her. however if youd like to look over my character then its ready otherwise. I didn't know how much experience I gained from playing the pregen character so I went back and created it to level 1 and figured I could level it up from there. If it is at all possible id like to get my character created so maybe I could play my first game with her on Saturday. =) Also maybe I could do something like my characters hometown was destroyed by enemies unknow and was the last survivor and since then has vowed for vengeance so that no other  Hanner Sidhe or  sidhelien have to suffer the same way she did because of the actions of someone else which inturn builds a sense of distrust within her toward humans because of hearing stories while growing up from the sidhelien around her and that took her in eventually. (due to her having to fight for her life on her way to seek refuge as a tiny child. Her only reason for escape was she had formed a pact with a fiend taking pity on her because he could she some use for her sometime in the future. Years have passed and she is now able to control the power she was given and is trying to make money by using her skills to become a spy. It can be changed as you see fit obviously but It kinda fits what I rolled for her ideals flaws and personality. Her name is Galzira.

A short summary of your character's backstory (1 paragraph or less): Growing up as a  Brecht Lio qi needed to find a way to win no matter what or be able to get by without being beaten himself so his training as a rogue began. He is smart and very charismatic and loves to help the common people. He is very pious and try's to convert anyone that doesn't have the same beliefs as him. Speaking about his beliefs is a way he uses to gain intelligence about the topics he is seeking.

A short summary of your character's backstory (1 paragraph or less): Zero Odeh (Zeh-Ro O-Day) Hails originally from Djafra.  He grew up on the streets; stealing the things he needed to survive.  As he grew older, he grew bold in his abilities.  Too bold. He was caught red-handed by multiple guilds in quick succession.  Rather than attempting to join one of the guilds he had stolen from all his life, he decided it was time to move on.  For they could recognize him and decide him worth more dead.  He joins the Cohort looking for a place to really belong for the first time. 

1. Fentyn Forajer 2. Lordgenome #5458 3. Fynton is a portly young Firbolg who grew up on the streets of Noran village. His family was cast out for crimes against nature and he was tragically separated from them during the journey. He managed to find his way back to the only home he had ever known but was ostracized, forced to sleep rough, and scavenge for food. He spent his days communing with the forest in hopes of one day finding his parents—whom he believes remain lost in the woods. At 6’9”, he is short by Firbolg standards but weighs in at a whopping 320 pounds making him heavy on his feet and requiring of all the food he can find. Fynton lives the free-gan lifestyle, foraging, scavenging, and stealing food in every spare moment, which is also how he communes with nature. Tasting berries, leaves, animal carcasses, and even droppings is his means of navigating, tracking animals, weather patterns, and getting a sense for an area. Despite his unorthodox lifestyle and palpable aroma from not bathing, he has the wisdom and charisma one could only learn fending for themselves from a young age. In hopes of learning the skills required to find his parents, he has set out to join the Cohort Arcanum. OOC: Organic character.

Lucan Yaeldrin Mekapix#3565 Born of a Dark Elf that ran from the Shadowlands and a Khinasi that took them in, Lucan's heritage of two vastly different cultures has always made him interested in learning how the world works. Once he grew older, he left the province of Ariya in order to study the world and what inhabits it. His studies eventually allowed him to learn the arcane arts, and his desire to sketch all that he saw led him to learn the art of painting. Hearing of the Cohort Arcanum and how they would send him across a vast continent filled with many opportunities to learn something new, Lucan happily joined with a book in one hand and his paintbrush wand in the other.

Lio Qi, Zero Odeh, Fynton Foraj, and Lucan Yaeldrin are all granted the title of Junior Associate of The Cohort Arcanum. May The Fate Weaver spare a tapestry for each of them in her grand web. OOC: Fynton you misspelled Noran Village in your backstory.

1. Zook 2. uh#6969 3. Zook has never been the brightest gnome. While his peers were inventing and creating complex tinkers, Zook was practicing wrestling moves. While his peers were admiring the work of Grainne Fae'o' Slaithe, Zook obsessed over the pure strength and toughness of Berenike Calligenia Laskaris. After a particularly hard day of being bullied by the smarter students, he refused to continue his schooling. He ran off from home and found himself living with a group of rough and tough dwarves who taught him how to utilize his rage. Once he grew old enough to sustain himself, he joined the Cohort Arcanum seeking adventure and a chance to prove his strength despite his small stature.

1. Kasimir Volkov 2.  Malchoix #9173 3. Kasimir was one of the many orphans born out of unending Vos civil war. As a boy, he was taken in by the church, taught how to swing a hammer at the anvil and on the battlefield, eventually becoming a Forgepriest. But Kasimir preferred building things up to tearing them down. Unwilling to be a tool in the bloodshed that took his parents lives, Kazimir fled, leaving his church and homeland behind. For years he traveled Cerilia as a blacksmith, humbly shoeing horses and mending plowshares. Now in his forties, Kasimir longs for adventure, and knows that he will have no trouble finding it with the Cohort Arcanum.

1. Zeek 2. uh#6969 3. Zeek was recognized to be an incredibly gifted gnome even for gnome standards. During his childhood, he was praised for his natural intelligence and calm demeanor. Zeek was always stored away constantly reading and studying about Mebhaighl, leylines, and Berenike Calligenia Laskaris. Zeek dived completely into his studies of the arcane arts. Once he grew old enough to sustain himself, he joined the Cohort Arcanum seeking adventure to expand his knowledge of the world. OOC: I fixed the race and removed any familial references

1. Glenn Sturgis 2. Spynx#2853 3. Glenn is as nice of a human as you would ever find. He hails from a small tight nit community. He grew up working with his father who owned a small hardware company called Sturgis and Sons, that is until a large shipping company Cloud 9 ran them out of business. He also grew up being very active in the local temple dedicated to Laerme where he received his Cleric training. Now that Glenn is getting on in his years, he just wants to explore and meet new and interesting people as well as spread the good news of Laerme. 

1.  Nils Ullstein 2. Simon#7630 3.  Nils served his two years among conscripted to the ranks of the Barkannen of Berhagen. Sera's fortune must of smiled upon him as he survived a battle against a Vos raiding party from the east and dealt the killing blow to their leader. With newfound confidence from his recent victory flowing in his veins he set out to join the fabled Cohort Arcanum to join the fight against the greater evils plaguing the land of Cerilia. 

Zook, Zeek, Glenn, Nils, Kasimir, and Galzira are accepted into The Cohort Arcanum as Junior Associates. The Fate Weaver spins her web, and twists her knots. Today they tie their knots with The Cohort. OOC: If possible I'd ask y'all get slightly more appropriate art for Glenn/Zook/Zeek. I'm not overly particular about art, but it should fit the general fantasy aesthetic of the game. It also shouldn't be overly 'goofy.' When you update the tokens let me know as they will need to be corrected in The Census. If you aren't sure just take a glance at the rest of the tokens in The Census, and think about rather or not your token would be out of place. If you aren't sure still then feel free to ask on Discord. Again we aren't overly particular (this is the first time I'm having to ask for someone to change art) so most things will work. Glenn you need to decide what type of human you are. I've noticed you have Draconic, and Sidhelien, but no human languages. Being a human you should have 3 languages (everyone gets sidhelien as a free bonus language). The bit in your story about Strugis & Sons/Cloud 9 is pushing the goofy aspect a bit much. It's not a major issue, but keep in mind the tone of our games tends to be more serious with some light hearted tones on the side. You seemed fine when we played, so not complaining about that at all.

A short summary of your character's backstory: A Performer by trade Nera lived a comfortable life within her clan. However one day she was given word to take her gladiatorial talents and apply them in helping the cohort Arcanum. Having traveled from her home to the guild house she arrived a little worse for wear due to the travel but ready to give the cohorts whatever help she can and try to gain some fame along the way.

A short summary of your character's backstory: Veilitos Aidous (Veil-itos A-dos) Laytos Aidous is a Border Patrolman of Innishiere.  Many years ago he crossed paths with the most beautiful Human woman he had ever seen, Veil Delmot.  While he was on duty, she sailed down the river on a merchant ship.  Veilitos is the product of that relationship.  He too served as a Border Patrolman for many years. Some time ago, members of the Cohort came to Innishiere to assist with a problem.  Veilitos saw them from afar.  Ever since, he hasn't been able to shake the idea of traveling the world with them. Seeing more than just the lands surrounding the great forest.  And so, he has decided to leave his home to begin a new adventure. Veilitos gained his abilities by accident.  As a young boy, he was climbing a tree during a storm.  He was struck by lightning.  Instead of falling, his muscles tightened and kept him securely fastened to the branch.  Over the next few hours, Veilitos was struck more than a dozen times.  When finally he did fall, he was seen floating slowly to the ground.

1. Xarxan Jharthraxyn  2 jastatank#9990 3: Xarxan Jharthraxyn  was always enamored by tales of heroes and wished he could be something more than ordinary.  He served as a paladin's squire, learning all you needed to swear your own sacred oath to the god Haelyn. he fought in a battle. he survived the battle, but he suffers from terrible nightmares in which he relive the experience. "I had to choose to save a young child or a pregnant Women and .... I Chose the child...." 

If any of y'all need to play in the meantime we can work things out. I'll get to approving these ASAP. Probably Monday, but if I can find the time I'll do them this weekend.

There is no token either. When you get that fixed post again here letting me know so we can get you approved. Hen doesn't have any gold, and her languages are not correct for Cerilia either. These would be easy fixes so I could approve you, but you don't have a token either. It looks like you're also missing your standard pack of adventuring gear. When you get those things sorted out post again, and we'll get you approved.

Character Name: Awil-ili Discord id: Warwolf1969#4791 Character Background: Awil-ili is from a small enclave of Khinasi who hold to a modified version of the old Basarji worship of cats as gods.  This has morphed into a worship of a Godhood of the cat, more of a deity rather than each individual cat being a god.  The religion has persisted because of obvious signs of the deity's power including clerics.  Awil-ili's Grandfather is the cleric for the religion and that led Awil-ili to be a devout worshipper.  His Grandfather saw this and guided by their deity began to train him in the path to be a cleric of the Godhood.  Both of them fully expected that Awil-ili would become his Grandfather's successor.  Only when Awil-ili finished his training and came into his clerical powers he was directed instead by the Godhood to join the Cohort as a number of the Cat folk had begun to join as well.  And a minority of them also held in someway to the same deity as the Godhood Awil-ili and his fellow worshippers followed.

Dyer is updated with token and is Anuriean Blonde hair, blue eyes, lightly tanned.   An alchemist/tanner who is tired of working with the same old materials.   He has become an adventurer in order to LEARN what is out there, skills/languages/tools, perhaps even instruments one day! Cloaked in grey, hopefully it is easier to avoid detection while his heartier companions kill the beasts! His shield is a leather overlay to his wooden shield in the form of the mighty Beholder!  A corpse was brought into his town one time, something he never forgot!

1. Trouble 2. Spynx#2853 3. Trouble is your common street youth. He got his name because thats all people ever called him. Orphaned since before he can remember, he has always had a hard life. He learned to steal to survive from a very early age. He was naturally very charismatic, often using this to exploit people from their valuables. He was often run out of towns for all the trouble he caused, so he would simply make his way to another town to start another gang of feral children. He was not without compassion however, he would often take in the most vulnerable kids and show them how to survive. After being run out of another town and making his way through a dark part of the forest he encountered a dark hooded stranger. The stranger said he had watched trouble for a while and liked his chaotic nature. He struck a deal with Trouble to give him power, in exchange Trouble was only required to keep causing trouble, in any form.

A short summary of your character's backstory (1 paragraph or less): While traveling through the deserts east of the marshlands, Zahirah catches flashes of light and the distant boom of thunder in the cloudless night sky. One night, whilst camping in the wastes, there appears to her a strange horse-like creature so beautiful it brings her to tears and enthralls her in such a way she believes this creature to be a god. She had heard mumblings and rumors of such a creature existing but believed them nothing more than fairy tales. Simply gazing on the creature exhausted her and as her eyelids grew heavy, she watched as the radiant creature leapt once more into the sky appearing to strike out at the darkness itself. She began to tell others of her experience, taking up her Lyre to spread the outlandish tale of the beautiful celestial creature. In time, her belief in her words became so profound, they began to hold power; her lyre, when she played it to spread her story glowed with a bright light and she felt at peace no matter how dark the wastes were at night for the memory of this radiant creature would give her strength and resolve.

A short summary of your character's backstory: My name is Urg and I'm from the Sword Rust Tribe region.  While I lived there I always felt out of place.  I fought for them and tried to prove myself but couldn't get any respect. The saw my Sidhelien side first and did not consider me a true brother. So, I left.  I had trouble communicating at first but I found myself a friend somewhere in the wilds.  A Sidhelien.  One who did not judge me immediately.  He taught me to speak up for myself and do so in a proper manner.  It took some time, but I learned.  He also told me of the Cohort Arcanum.  A group that might accept me for who I am.

A short summary of your character's backstory (1 paragraph or less): After spending 40 years out in the forests of his homelands, he returns to the farming village of his youth to find it has exploded in population and his family has been driven from their lands. He is directed to the Cohort Arcanum as they seem to know everything and more willing to deal with the non-human citizens in his personal quest to find out what happened to his family.

A short summary of your character's backstory (1 paragraph or less): Kazimir was raised in a tribe from Zoloskaya, one of the few remaining Vos enclaves that still worship Lirovka and the old ways.  He was apprenticing to become a wizard when he started receiving visits from a shadowy being promising potentially limitless power.  Over time, Kazimir eventually gave in and formed a pact with the creature.  As his body started manifesting signs of his patron, he was disowned by his clan and forced to leave.  Not wanting to join with the traditionalists faction, Kazimir instead set out to seek his own fortune... and to seek balance between what was right and the evil power that coursed through his veins.

1. Thorkell the Tall 2. Teleschnecke #8412 3. Thorkell grew up in a small fishing village. He spent his puberty getting into fights and working as a fisherman and woodchopper. He was once attacked by a bear just as he was about to leave the forest. He "bearly" managed to slay the monster using his trusted axe. The axe broke, but he still wears the bear's fur today. Nonetheless soon he got bored by the simple village life and left his home to recruit on the viking ship "Helga". Hunting whales and recruiting as mercenary, even going on the occasional raid, did not fullfill his growing lust for battle. Kerkin sure had greater for him in store! On his travels he heard of the Cohort Arcanum and immediatly knew this guild would lead him to his destiny. He sold his belongings only picking up some new battleaxes and harpunes and headed for the next outpost of the Cohort... I took the exp and gold from the monk pregen I used during my first session.

1. Valeiros "Val" 2. Depraved Lunatic#1834 3. Val used to travel with the Battlemaiden, a large, gladiatorial ship arena on sea. He was one of the more popular performers, beloved for his flashy combat style using nets and tridents, as well as his firm code of honor. Well, atleast when it comes to fighting one on one. He's an entirely different beast when it comes to mass combat. He's seen carrying around tons of Javelins he throws into those who don't pay enough attention to his small frame.  However, he has lived a long time with the Battlemaiden. He saw several gladiators come and pass without making a significant impact in the world. While he was happy being somewhat of a local celebrity, this wasn't the attention he was seeking. As word about the Cohort Arcanum made their rounds in the Battlemaiden, Val knew exactly what he had to do to get his share of worldwide fame.

1. Name: Zoktqua 2. Esprit#3666 3. Her tribe was beset upon by Vos marauders, and being the lone shaman within her tribe was only able to sustain herself during the attack. She traveled far, allowing her gifts of the elements and her ancestors to guide her to the Cohort Arcanum where she finds others that may help her to exact revenge on the ravaging bands that destroyed her tribe. A short summary of your character's backstory: After his father, a trader who worked the southern coasts of Cerilia, was murdered by a crew of pirates, Theo swore that he would hunt down and eradicate the pirates, for they were now his sworn enemy, and while he may be a rogue, he was a righteous one at that.

1. Nasir Al'Rahka 2. Teleschnecke #8412 3. From a young age Nasir worked as a scout for the Emir's army, but after witnessing a cruel massacre of Sidhelien ordered by the Emir, Nasir chose to abandon the secure job provided by the army and join the Cohort in hopes of becoming a better man.

Sebastian Mietitore Unidad #7162 Born and raised in the City of Ariya - Sebastian apprenticed as a jewel crafter most of his life until he was old enough to assume the store from his master and begin a life in the trades for himself. It is in the city he met his wife Anuyra and it was in the city he was eventually married to her. The wedding rings they used had been in her family for generations and the family spoke often of the luck they often brought their wearers. They lived happily together for 5 years before she was taken from him one evening as they walked the city streets. Sebastian was able to mysteriously fight off the attackers before returning to his fallen love. As she lay dying, Sebastian prayed first to the goddess Avani for her life, and offered his own in return. When she didn't answer, he turned then to the universe itself, screaming out that no one should experience unjust loss such as this - seemingly to no avail. Weeks later, haunted by the memories of her and their short time together, he left the city with his ring on his left hand, hers around his neck and a darkness in his soul that drives him to rid the world of monsters, human or not, who do evil onto those undeserving of it. The Cohort Arcanum would be his first stop.

To her, heredity was, as all things, a pure expression of balance, luck, and fate. You only have three languages, and should have four (everyone gets one bonus language being sidhelien). I have condensed the languages on your sheet so you can see exactly what you need to do. You can see a list of our languages here. Everything else look good. Approved. Theo: Your token's art should probably be changed. It looks like a funko pop. As a general rule of thumb when you're scrolling through the tokens on Roll20 your character's token shouldn't look out of place. We aren't too picky about things. Helvan Ori, Aloysius Rhinehart, Hassani Chorfi captbaseball#0872 Helvan grew up on the streets, learning to fend for himself. The years took their toll on him, leaving him quite sickly. Knowing that he couldn’t trust his body and his survival depended on his wits, he developed a keen mind and quick hands.  He was pickpocketing from a robed stranger one day, and used his innate ability to teleport away. The man, seeing this, took interest in the street urchin, and coaxed him into conversation. The man was impressed, and decided to take him on as apprentice, and hone his innate magical abilities with training and study.  Aloysius was sent away as a child to study at temple, but his passion was always music. The priests, seeing his natural talent, agreed amongst themselves and sent him to train at the Bardic College of Lore. There he sharpened the academic skills he developed as a Cleric, but was able to focus his efforts to learning music and the magic of the bard.  Once he graduated, he set out to explore the world, searching for lost and forgotten stories and legends and hope to compose his Magnum Opus.  Hassani was raised in a city to artisan parents. His mother was a weaver and his father a woodworker.  He always felt an affinity for gems and precious metals, so his father struck a deal to apprentice him to the local guild Jeweler, where he learned a craft.  Throughout his apprentice and journeyman years as a jeweler, he paid for tutors in the magical arts, and developed a respectable tome of arcane knowledge.  A mysterious client one day requisitioned a necklace that would test him to his limits as a artist. He labored over it for months, and after many failures, finally completed this masterpiece.  When trying to collect, the client attempted to scam him of half the original agreed upon value.  Hassani brought this up to the guild leaders, but the client apparently had powerful friends, and he was kicked out of the guild, being blamed for reneging on a contract.  He fled the city, and in his travels learned of the Cohort.  A spark of hope fluttered in him, as he hopes to earn his place with a new community.

A short summary of your character's backstory: Having lived in the forest, hunting and trapping, for many a year, Hadrian wishes to see more of the world. He heard of the Cohort from a local village he trades with, and wishes to join and see the world. he also has a young black wolf coming with him.

Your Discord ID including the number. gh0stw1nd#2241 3.  Emir Jabari bin Sukkan Not much is known of the Emir's early years, he was not of any of the noble Djafra families.  The earliest record of him was in his early 20s when he was a young member of an adventuring company known as The Seven Hands.  Back then he was known simply as Jabari.  The Seven Hands made a name for themselves doing work for the various trade guilds of Djafra: protecting caravans, clearing raiders from the Black Spear Tribes, and the like.  Eventually, however, Jabari grew disillusioned with the work they were doing.  He saw the corruption of the guilds and how it hurt the nation under its weak rule.  Jabari left The Seven Hands and began his own company called The Golden Shield.  The group spent years defending the people against the most vile acts of the guilds.  Eventually, the people of Djafra began to to call Jabari “Al-Kalkan”, or “The Shield”.  Eventually, with enough support of the populace, Jabari led an uprising against the hedonistic Emir and the corrupt guilds, seizing power and banishing the former ruler from the lands.  He sought to bring peace and balance to the realm, stripping the guilds of their political power and trying to enact laws that protected the people without crippling the land’s commerce.  Three years later, with order restored, Jabari turns his attention to rebuilding the once great Emirate while contending with the political schemes of the country’s powerful guilds. OOC:  Will be making my own ruler as well as updating the domain.  The name Djafra will remain, however.
