Kingmaker is an adventure path published by the Paizo corporation for the Pathfinder game. The players claim land in the wilderness and fight against various forces to create their own kingdom and then defend it. The PCs are ex-criminals, slaves, bandits or other unsavory types that have been captured by Paladins for their crimes (real or imagined is fine). The Paladins are on their way to Mendev and travelling through the high-tech nation of Numeria, though the PCs may be from anywhere. Fate intervenes in the form of a mysterious wizard, who rescues the condemned PCs from their captors. In this case, the player characters are self-interested and evil or at least neutral types. At least not very good people. In return the wizard forces the PCs to agree to his insane deal, and to go settle the Stolen Lands in his name. I need no more than 4 players, new players are welcome . Note that this will run every other on Sunday mornings EST time. This will require a great deal of player involvement (posting on forums between sessions, Skype) and a lot of RP imagination. Kingmaker is very PC-centric. If you're coming to roll dice at bad guys or a big dungeon crawl, best stay home. Of course, combat is involved. This isn't DnD4.0, and it certainly isn't for the casual player. I'll be interviewing players and making sure we get intelligent, mature players that work well together and with myself. If interested, please post here. You'll need to be writing fairly comprehensive back-stories for this one. We will have a session zero (introductions, character building etc.) on 5/11, then start on 5/25. We'll be playing on Sunday mornings Eastern Daylight Time, Sunday evening Japan time. If interested, please see here and post to the appropriate thread.
