My group has recently sprang to life. We are seeking GMs and players alike for a West Marches game in 5e with homebrew monsters (added to the GMs journals) in a lower, dark fantasy setting. In this game, players move across a large and expansive map that is hidden from them; only able to see certain tiles at any given time depending on their location. Communication is limited across the globe and thusly it enforces the need to communicate effectively and find new ways to speak over distances. Players in this game start at level 1 and are often paired with higher level characters in order to prevent their deaths early on. The world is harsh and many monsters from the monster manual have been modified to be not only more challenging but also stronger than the players exponentially. However with the right research and equipment players can expect to make fights against monsters much more easily (in terms most are familiar with a level 3 party of 4 is capable of engaging and killing a CR 11 creature very easily with the right research and equipment... and a good plan). Build your empire. Build a home. Explore the frontier. The game takes place in an unknown continent that has yet to be explored. Roads do not exist unless they are built by the players. Cities much the same. Meaning? You will need to survive the wilderness to establish yourself. Inquire within for details.
