I've been trying to GM a lot of systems for a while, but I think I just don't have enough experience playing them to do so. So, I'm gonna try and fix that by asking for some help here. I want to play something, anything, as long as it meets these requirements: None of these systems: Powered by the Apocalypse/Forged in the Dark, FATE, Savage Worlds, or D&D 5th Edition. I see them get way too much attention and they're too simplistic for my liking. I like crunch in the games I play. I prefer Sci-Fi or Modern Games, though a low-magic and/or grimdark fantasy setting (such as Call of Cthulhu or Warhammer 40K) would also be good. I like roleplaying as much as I like combat, but I don't roleplay as dumb characters. On the off chance that I do get to play, I'm often silent most of the time because the other players are talking fast and doing dumb stuff that I don't approve of but aren't in a position to stop. No matter the system or the game idea, if the group devolves into that, I'm hopping out. I'm 17, which is technically underage even though I don't mind things like swearing. Even so, I'd prefer if incredibly mature content was kept to a minimum. If this limits my options, so be it. My goal is to have fun playing a game so I can learn how to run my own games, not to mess up whoever is GMing's plans. After reading over all this, I'd say the odds of me actually finding a game are pretty slim. Still, I've got to try. It seems like every single new system I find out about is completely devoid of GMs, and I can't fill that void without experience playing other games. Hopefully, someone on this site is willing to give me that experience.
