[LFP] [Star Wars D6] Sunday evening GMT game, The Hunt for Larken

A Long Time Ago, In a Galaxy Far Far Away.. The year is 14 BBY, and the Galactic Empire holds most of the galaxy in a chokehold. The rebellion is working away in the shadows, while smugglers make their living skirting the law. One person belonging to both of these groups is the infamous blockade runner Lex Larken , wanted across the Empire for his daring feats. However, recently something went very wrong.. Somewhere in the Prefsbelt sector of the Outer Rim, Larken recently caused quite a stirr when he was transporting some unknown cargo- Suddenly shaking the otherwise sleepy Imperial administration under Moff Valter Enc awake and into action. Rumor has it they clashed, and while Larken slipped through the fingers of the Empire, he supposedly lost whatever cargo Enc was desperate to get his hands on. While details are scarce, these rumors have been enough to spurr several inquisitive individuals- Be they money hungry mercenaries, rebels with a cause, or even undercover Jedi who seek to oppose the Empire- to try and seek out whatever Larken was transporting. After all, if it wasn't something valuable, why else would the Empire be so hard at work shutting down any rumors of Larken and the whereabouts of his cargo? [This is a Star Wars D6 game, using the 2nd Ed Revised and Expanded rulebooks. It will be run on Sunday evenings weekly, and feature of a motley crew of spacers who seek to find the lost cargo of Lex Larken, while staying under the prying eyes of the Empire. To apply, just post something below that'll convince me you're fit to join the gang, or ask any questions you might have.]

I did not enjoy the new movies much to be quite honest, and I find the Empire Era to be one of the more interesting periods in the timeline even if I have never consumed much media besides some shows and video games. I do lean towards respecting the source material and lore and am happy to compromise to reach a decent middle ground. Not to mention I have had a RP dry spell for a good little while and would be eager to make it work, especially since a distraction from my job would be very welcome. If you'd want to reach me for a live conversation if anything, Discord would be best under Bart#6670. And just to assure you, I have a half-decent mike in a fairly quiet environment. Just one question from my end, namely how many players are you looking for? Looking forward to hearing back from you.
I'm interested in this campaign. Last August I broke up with my gaming group of 15 years or so. It was a tough break and I took kind of a break from RP. I think I'm ready to get back into it, but I'm aware that not only may I be a little out of practice but I might have picked up some bad habits. As they say, "Admitting you have a problem is the biggest step in fixing it." So any feedback, good or bad, would be appreciated (and I will give feedback about the campaign as well). I do tend to be quiet and I've been told I have a "resting apathetic face" so I hope any silence on my part won't be misinterpreted as disinterest. I said "I took kind of a break" because I'm still involved in an Organized Play of Star Wars using this ruleset. I even have a hardcopy of the rules from that group so I know some of the rules. I also have a decent headset, a discord account, and a quiet environment (except for my cat who can be very vocal when she wants attention). There are chores I do on Sunday evenings, but I can work around it for the game. For a campaign, I'd like more roleplay. OP is great, but its main issue for me is that it's harder to do actual roleplay because the modules are static and have a goal. Don't get the wrong impression, it's a great group and I have fun playing but my roleplay skill set isn't yet optimized for that style of play. I'm more goal-oriented and will focus on that before doing roleplay. A more open game would help me with that. For a character, I'd like to clone one of my OP characters. I have a starship techie and merc. The former is preferred but I can work with the group's needs. I'm looking forward to this.
