This is a long running campaign and the initial orientation will take a bit of time investment for character creation.  We're currently looking for 1 more player for a story and rp driven  Heroic  campaign on Saturdays. Aspects of problem solving, explorations and combat will still be present. This campaign dives into the political aspects of the world and races have a heavy influence on psychology, culture and lore. As a limited race campaign, only Dwarves, Halflings, Humans, Genasi (every genasi subrace is completely different from each other) and Dragonborn are playable. With races having different psychology than humans in the base game, I wanted to fully explore this difference and how their culture and mindset affects them. This means you won't be able to play them as re skinned humans, but actually have to get into that mentality. The campaign is set on an island with a mixed climate of grassland and desert, with the group mainly in the desert. Thematically, it's similar to the Witcher series, drawing from some aspects of the world as inspiration. Sometimes there is no good choice, but only the best one you can make at the moment.  I want to emphasize the Heroic part, as good alignments are the most optimal way to play this. Evil is banned (dumb players doing dumb things in the past). Because RP is a main factor, there are multiple ways to accomplish your goals. Paths throughout the story are flexible and allow players freedom to choose how they want to approach an issue. Combat does not always have to end in conflict, rather players have the option to resolve it through speech and other methods. The world itself is moving along even if you aren't, so events can change or be missed depending on how you play. This is also a low magic campaign, however, there are homebrew rules that supplement this.  I expect players to be respectful, engage in the story, not meta game to an extent, it happens), and to not slow down the game with arguments about ruling/other reasons. We use the gritty realism rest rule from the DMG, as we do not encounter 6-8 fights on a regular adventuring day. This allows me to set a difficulty comfortable for most people, as it was too hard for players previously. In an intrigue focused campaign, this rule allows for players to spend time dealing with problems outside of combat. Currently, the group is in need of Paladin (Your power is from a Deity and is granted to you) or a Homebrew Warlock that's more melee focused (You have a fighting style, built in hex so you can use spells for other features, added defensive ability, d10 hit die and is now a half caster.

Forgot to mention, players start at 5th level, unless you wish to start lower level to fit your backstory. The players are currently in the middle of a city under siege.
hello, i am interested in your game. is there any info you need from me?
Yes, please PM me a little info about yourself, what your experience is and what you expect/want to do in the campaign.
Spell less ranger and Barbarian are also available classes now.
I’m interested in the concept of your campaign, never tried a low magic, realistic style campaign before. If there is still space I would love to participate, and if you need more info I would be happy to talk more.
We now have 2 spots open, as a previous player has left due to rl scheduling conflicts
hello I'm really interested playing a campaign but i have a few questions to ask you about your campaign and some other stuff. If you dm me i would be really happy.
Hello the time-zone is EST? if so, im very interested in your campaign. I`ve only played a couple times, I`ve read and seen a lot of videos about the rules, so I hope you dont mind explaining some especifics things at times.

Greetings! I am very interested in the theme of your game. I have Played and Written for D&D (and other various systems) For the last three decades. As a player I enjoy action oriented games with a heavy focus on roleplay. I am very familiar with a dark, gritty theme as I often run those kinds of stories for my own sessions. I do have a paladin concept in mind if that role is still open. If you still have a spot open. I would enjoy a interview or discussing this opportunity more with you in greater detail. Feel free to give me a DM if you have any slots still open.
We still have 1 spot open for a barbarian, monk or ranger.
I might be interested in the monk or barb. Would you care to chat a bit about the specifics?
