I mean, some of them are really neat, but they aren't as clear if you have any players with vision that isn't all that great. And, to be honest, there are a lot of fonts that just don't look all that different from each other (or from what the default font is), which leaves me wondering why there are as many as there are, and why I should bother. Of course, that probably means someone will come along and tell my why "(insert font name here) is just so great everyone should use it because...", or maybe others are just as baffled as I am. :p There's a lot that can be said for the power of a font face to evoke atmosphere and gravitas for a character sheet that plain old Arial and/or Times New Roman can't. I for one am glad this has finally been implemented...albeit a little too late for me to really be able to use, since my time working on character sheets is pretty much non-existent at the moment. :( As for why there are so many similar ones...different creators working from the same base font to modify for their own projects, probably...and in many cases they could be interchangeable. Sometimes there's a reason to choose one over the other...for example if the serifs are too long in one, but still want serifs, perhaps you go with a similar one that has slightly shorter serifs, and perhaps that's important to balance the composition, as a whole. The great thing about Google Fonts, though, is there are so many that you can likely find one to help evoke the mood you want on a character sheet, but as keithcurtis pointed, fonts are like salt...a little can go a long way, but really make the sheet pop with flavor. keithcurtis said: tl;dr: Don't choose something ugly and you'll be fine. Unfortunately, nobody's baby is ugly... ;)
