Imported Characters to New Campaign cannot access Charactermancer

Hello, My DM and I are looking into our game right now and noticed that our characters that we imported into our new campaign from a previous Roll20 campaign are unable to launch the Charactermancer.  This happens for all the imported users we tried on different browsers and different computers.  However any character sheet that was original to this campaign can launch the Charactermancer no issue.  This may have happened to other users but a google search and search in the forums did not turn up a quick solution to this and we could use some help with our imported characters. Thanks for any help we can get.

The charactermancer doesn't work if the character sheet is popped out in a separate window. Can you manage to get the charmancer to work on newly created sheets? Does the charmancer button not do anything when pressed? Does the character sheet otherwise look normal? Have you checked that you have the 5e compendium enabled for everyone in the campaign?

When I increased their XP to a new level cap the button for the Charactermancer appears and when clicked opens immediately. - on the imported characters from our first campaign when the XP is increased to a new level the charactermancer button appears but nothing happens when we press it - the character sheet looks identical to the new ones and any other 5e sheet I've seen. Although strangely the attributes on the Attributes and Abilities tab seem to be in a different order. - I have the 5e compendium shared with everyone and I had it shared with everyone last game as well Thank you for taking the time to respond

Okay, too bad that didn't clear anything up. Only things remaing I could think of might be: that if the characters wasn't originally created with the charmancer they can't be levelled up(try port the chars to other games, or see if they can be levelled in the original campaign, original or if you re-import the same sheet to the old game) there exist some bug that makes it so imported character sheets made with the charactermacer can't be levelled when ported to another campaign there character info was slightly corrupted in a way that makes the charmancer thing they weren't created with it.(you could try port the working new charmancer characters to another game and see if they can still levelup in the second game they are part of.)
Taking your advice I went ahead and imported the characters into a test game and unfortunately they were un able to level via the Mancer once I gave them the 6500 XP needed to hit level 5. I then went to our original campaign to see if the originals can level and they can so I exported a new copy, imported it into the new game and again I could not level them. Seems odd that we can't port characters over from one campaign to the other and use the awesome Charactermancer tool.  I'm the creator of both games as well as sharing my resources (ie compendiums)

So it's possible there is a general bug that makes it so imported character sheets made with the charactermacer can't be levelled when ported to another campaign.
Do we think this is this campaign/game specific or in general for imported characters.  For example, if Viva (if it was not obvious the DM) were to create a new game for the campaign do the import again and we started playing from there would this happen again?  Is this worth trying?
