Handout Generation Suggestion

No one makes a new handout in a folder to put it at the top of the list. It always  goes to the bottom. Therefore, it would be a small (but additive) timesaver to have newly created handouts go to the bottom of the list.
+1 Yes, the struggle is real. We have folders so why would anyone want to have most recent on top as an organizational method. Append not prepend!

Yes, yes, a thousand times yes! I came into the forums to create this exact suggestion and found it here already. I know we can alphabetize them with a click, but I often don't want to alphabetize them. Also numbers are wonky when alphabetizing. Perhaps a setting to allow users to choose where they want new handouts created?

I can see the usefulness of that. I hate it because I like to organize the handouts and moving them manually to the bottom of the list is very time consuming. I run investigative games and often have long lists of clues and handouts to organize. I also use handouts as GM notes and, again, have long lists of handouts to organize and usually want the next one  at the bottom.

I put handouts at the top all the time and actually like that they start there. I have felt your pain though. I would suggest adding a "to bottom" and a "to top" option to the right click menu as a alternative solution to your suggestion.

Since ordering is pretty rudimentary, my workaround is to archive things when I get a large list of handouts and create an index for that folder.  A portion of the npc list from a current game of mine: Spren has a pretty good extension of the suggestion.  While it is probably too much to hope for, it would be handy to be able to sort by date of creation also.
Ak good responses. Another good idea would be to have a setting in the editor settings menu.

It always  goes to the bottom.  Rather grand statement and incidentally, I almost always want to add the newest item at the top, be it handout, sheet or map/image file. It is very convenient to have the latest item close at hand since older handouts already are just history (and sometimes those cannot be archived as players may still need or want them) and thus are viewed rarely. So if this suggestion would be implemented, your current headache would become my new headache. A better solution, like has been counter-proposed, would be adding a setting to toggle desired behaviour.
