The Journal

Is there some reason why dragging a character out of the Journal onto the tabletop doesn't automatically assign the token to the controllers of the character as set out in the Journal? Being able to simply drag and drop character icons onto the pages would be very convenient compared to dragging, dropping, then individually assigning the tokens to the exact character they were dragged onto the tabletop from. If this is an advanced feature that I don't get because I don't currently have a subscription, I totally understand. If nobody has this feature, I wonder why..
That usually means that the token didn't have permissions setup when it was bound to the character sheet. Setup the token the way you want it, go to the sheet and remove the token it has, and re-add the token you just updated.

Before you link the token to the character journal, make sure that the token's "Represents Character" field is assigned to the journal in the token's settings.
Thanks. I'll try doing that, and if I run into more problems, I'll be back.
Okay, so I have a character set up in the Journal. It has all its permissions set up (whose Journals it's in, who can control it, what its default token is). When I drag said character out of the Journal onto the tabletop, I get the proper token, but when you click on the token, it's not set to represent a character from the Journal. That's my issue. Is there something I'm not understanding here? I don't see any additional fields that look relevant.

Unlink the token from the journal by removing it from the bio while in edit mode of the journal. Next, bring up the desired token's settings. Where it says Represents Character, select the journal this token should be representing. Once that's done, go back to your journal and select this token to relink them. If you drag the journal to the tabletop now, that token "should" be appropriately linked.
Thanks again!
It worked! Thanks, saves SO MUCH TIME!
