Currently looking to add members to our fellowship for our weekly One Ring campaign! Sessions start at 5:30pm Pacific Time on Saturdays: https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/194181/the-marsh-bells-tor If you're interested in learning The One Ring (Lord of the Rings universe), and you are available to play weekly during the time listed, let me know, we would love to have you join! It takes about a 1.5 hours or so to build a new character, so keep in mind that you'll have to set aside a bit of time to meet with me so I can walk you through character creation before the session starts. All our current players are new to the game. It does not take long to learn the systems once you start playing. Current cultures available are Hobbits of the Shire, Dwarves of the Lonely Mountain, Mirkwood Elves, and three different types of humans: Woodmen (from the Mirkwood), Bardings (from Dale) and Beornings (followers of Beorn - the dude from the Hobbit who can shapeshift into a bear). Other cultures will "unlock" as we go along, and players die or voluntarily retire. I do have 3 spare characters ready to go if anyone wants to take them over, even just to try out the game to see if they like it: a Hobbit, a Woodman, and a Barding. Knowledge of Lord of the Rings is not a requirement, but players who don't know anything at all about Tolkien's writing should probably play as a hobbit. Hobbits don't know much of the world beyond their own homeland, so everything they encounter on adventures is new and surprising to them. If you're planning on playing as a 700 year old elf, you probably need some decent background knowledge to make that character seem realistic. The One Ring: - tends to be very story and roleplay heavy, there is not a huge focus on deep combat tactics. - is a brutal, low magic world where life is cheap and death is final. Characters die, and heirs inherit the ambitions, glory and curses of their forebearers. Player characters are not wizards or heirs to a throne, they're just regular free folk of Middle Earth. - is set 5 years after the events of the death of Smaug and the Battle of Five Armies. Most of our stories will take place in the Mirkwood (Darkening of Mirkwood campaign) and surrounding areas (Lake Town, Dale, Erabor, Beorn's land, etc). Let me know if you're interested or would like more information.
I am interested in checking it out, but your campaign links brings me to a "Not Authorized" page
I'm interested as well but your page is not open for viewing, as Bruce mentioned.
