Hi, fellow players and game masters! For this suggestion I would like to bundle a number of quality-of-life improvements to Grouping and Ungrouping tokens, that might be to minor on their own to warrant one suggestion threat each. 1. Clicking and dragging a group of tokens should move the whole group. Only Alt -clicking a token within a group should select the individual token. As it stands currently, whether clicking and dragging affects (and moves) only one token or the whole group, depends on whether the group is already selected beforehand. This approach, in my humble opinion and experience, is very accident prone. It also requires an unnecessary amount of clicks in the (presumably) most common use cases: To move the whole group, one has to select the group, release the mouse, then drag and drop the group. If one accidentally forgets to release the mouse (and moves a single member of the group unintentionally), they have to deselect the group first , before returning the single token to its position. Otherwise the attempt to correct the first mistake will move the whole group, creating a second mistake. The position of a mistakenly moved single token of the grouping can be restored by Ctrl+Z instead, but this also de-selects the whole group. A flustered user may just commit the exact same mistake again immediately. The current method appears unintuitive to me, which becomes a problem, especially in the heat of battle . The possibility to select and move an individual token (by Alt -clicking it) already exists. 2. Every token inside a group should individually snap to grid, unless it is marked as a drawing or the Alt -key is pressed (or the other way around). As it stands right now, the tokens inside a group do not snap to the grid ever. Instead, the whole group's bounding box does. This may be personal, anecdotal evidence only, but I have never required this specific behavior. Usually, I want to group a number of tokens, representing individual enemies moving as a team. The grid position of each individual enemy remains relevant, so I have to carefully Alt -drag the group to place it. 3. Right clicking on one or more selected individual tokens belonging to one or more groups should add the option to Advanced -> Remove selected token from group . If the screen is cluttered with tokens, recreating a group of tokens is challenging. If if it isn't, it requires an unnecessary amount of busywork. This one's admittedly a Hail Mary: 4. An option to treat a group of tokens as a single token would be great! Add HP, auras, player controls, etc. for the group as a whole. Save the whole group of tokens in a single charsheet for later use! (e.g. as "group of goblins") As is, the only way to prepare and reuse a grouping of tokens is to copy it from a storage area on the same map or a different map. Btw. attempting to store a grouping inside a charsheet currently produces a puzzling (and likely unintended) behavior. I posted about this on the bug-report forum .
