There are also games other than D&D out there. There's a whole range of settings, or even games that are fantasy, but not D&D. Most DMs will need to know what time zone you are in, and what hours and days you are available to play in that time zone. So for example my games are Traveller (Science Fiction) and James Bond (Espionage), which run Fridays, or One Ring RPG (Lord of the Rings) Saturdays, 4 PM to 8 PM, EST. That way on fridays people in the US who don't work fri Afternoon can make it, but late night UK players can make it starting at their 9 PM. You've already stated that you are new to the whole thing but are enthusiastic. There are groups willing to teach new players here. I suggest looking through the looking for game listings, find a game that has the hours you need, that accepts new players, and apply, on a temporary, checking it out basis. Roll or have the DM generate a character with you, Sit in for a few sessions, try it out. Hope you find a game that fits. Welcome to Roll 20.
