The title says it all. I have installed a few API, and none of their commands work in the game's chat. Nothing. No API is functioning within my campaign. I have a pro account.
No, it is on the api settings page where you install the scripts. You need to be logged into your game in another tab/window for the api sandbox to be active.
I'm logged into the game, and the API in another tab has nothing in it for any API I have selected. The API windown just has a number 1 in the top left of the window.
A screenshot would be nice. Especially of what it looks like (while still logged into your game on another tab/window) right after you click the button to restart the api sandbox.
So with the campaign launched ( I'm looking at the game map right now ) I have a second tab open within the same window, and these are some screen shots from the api boxes
That is very strange, because there should be some output there. Since there is nothing, I would recommend you run through the steps from the wiki for troubleshooting problems: <a href="https://wiki.roll20.net/Solving_Technical_Issues" rel="nofollow">https://wiki.roll20.net/Solving_Technical_Issues</a> My guess is that you have something (maybe a script blocker) interfering with cloudflare. At least, I can duplicate that behavior with the NoScript extension on Firefox by disabling cloudflare.
I read that page, and nothing helped. I installed Firefox to test this out, and the same thing happened. With Chrome I have all my extensions turned off, and with Firefox there are no add ons. I don't have any script blocking programs on my computer than I'm aware of. Anyone have this issue? Maybe a exe running in the background that is blocking / stopping API form working?
Just to eliminate the unlikely: Are you the creator of the game? You are positive that the API page and the Game your are in both refer to the same game? You do not have JavaScript disabled in your browser? (you can check this in chrome by clicking on the lock icon in the address bar and choosing "Site settings".
1) Yes I am the creator of the game. 2) Yes, I am launching the API tab from the game's page, so I would assume the game I launch is the same as the game's API. 3) Java is enabled. Some screen shots to show 1) Java is on and 2) the page from which I launch both the game ( the campaign ) and the API tab for the game ( the campaign )
It's probably something running in the background of my computer, but I'm a layman when it comes to this stuff, so that's just an assumption. I wonder if this issue has come across the forums before.
I just created a second game, and the API works for that game. I started the first campaign, and the API is not working. So, the first campaign, API doesn't work. The second campaign, API works. So there seems to be an issue on roll20's end. I wish I could add more information than this.
Yeah, must be something really odd happened when that first game was created. If you have done a bunch of work on the first one, try making a copy of it to see if the api works on the copy. That would keep you from having to redo any work you put into the first game.
Diego D. said: I read that page, and nothing helped. Regardless, those are the steps that need to be followed in order to give the devs information they need to investigate. Since you've tried the first three steps, you'll need a console log from Step 4 .
