Question About Character Sheet Modifications

I’m heavily considering DM in for a couple of my real life friends over Roll 20 I was curious is it possible for the DM to see where a player character changes anything on the character sheet or gotta rely on honesty?

This question has been asked before, and there have been some very complicated suggestions on how to go about such a thing, but the short answer is if people gonna cheat, people gonna cheat. This also works for real life games. The easiest thing you can do is to send characters to the character vault after each game so you can check for changes between sessions, but trying to verify changes can drive you mad.
