New Rifts Game Starting - Thursdays 7-11pm Eastern

Hello.  I am a Professional Game Master for Rifts, i come with references.    I have a new game starting with session one on 3/19/20.  I screen all players. OCC/RCC Selection - I will allow you to play any OCC/RCC you want as long as you read and understand the description in the book, are willing to play in character, and accept that you will not be welcome in some places depending on your choice.  You must also have a reason why that occ/rcc would be their, and stay with the group.   Plot: your group will get caught up in something that will change events for the CS, Tolkeen, or Lazlo.   Looking for 2 people, my games fill fast. If you have played with me before and it did not work out you are free to try again.   Below are 2 references that are the newest, thanks and see you soon!!!! Lachrymologist 01/17/2020 Never have I met a gamemaster more dedicated to his craft. Steven's drive to ever improve, not only himself but also expect and encourage more from his players is unsurpassed. His time spend in preparation and research leads to exciting and realistic immersion and play. He is engaging, entertaining and fair giving each player his full attention, wanting each to excell and find their own place in a game. If you are looking for a game that is full of engaging role play, dangerous and meaningful combat encounters, laced with enough levity to keep it light; he is the gamemaster you are looking for. Andy Parker I’m not really sure how to start this, but here goes. Spencer does an amazing job at creating a setting and creating NPCs that feel very real. NPCs were living in very real circumstances, experiencing hardships like we do in reality, making the setting more relatable and very easy to get sucked into the atmosphere and feel like I was really there. First and foremost, Spencer takes the game seriously, and he expects his players to be engaged and participate. Which I think is completely fair as he puts a lot of time and effort into the game, which really shows with how prepared he is regarding maps, details about locations, and having the personalities and quirks of NPCs ready to go as soon as you meet them. And he also is very creative and able to adapt to some off-the-wall antics of the characters in our game. He has a great deal of knowledge about the Rifts game setting, history, and game mechanics. I had very little experience with Rifts prior to joining his game, and still have much to learn about it, but he has always been willing to help me learn and understand the mechanics of the game. I can be forgetful sometimes about things I’ve already learned, and sometimes forget to write information down about new items my character has acquired, and it is welcoming that Spencer does not get frustrated or angry whenever I ask for help. When I first started playing I thought he came across as a bit gruff as he does have an authoritative tone when he speaks, but I think that is a good quality in a GM as that helps maintain control of the game. After my first game I found him to be very friendly and warm, and he genuinely seems to care about the people who play in his games. He does expect that players commit to the date and time set apart each week for game time, which is completely fair as all parties involved should be making the same effort to be present at the appointed time. But he also understands that sometimes events may occur in reality that take priority, and an occasional absence is understandable. Spencer gives players a great deal of freedom to allow their characters to react in ways that are true to their personality/alignment. And he makes sure we are aware that there can be serious consequences, such as the possibility of character death, depending on what actions our characters take. And regarding Character Death, Spencer is not out to kill his players, but he will place them in challenging situations where tactics and team communication is key. Roleplaying and combat are about 50-50, I would say. It’s a fun balance, and the roleplaying is not just quick chats to move the story forwards. Players have plenty of opportunity to interact with one another, and are often placed in situations where they have the opportunity to develop their own relationships and learn more about one another. His style of moving the game forwards, at least in the experience I have with the one game I am a part of, is that he has a plan for a story to develop as our characters explore the world and determine our role with in it. I don’t feel like our party has been railroaded along towards anything. We have been given choices regarding which direction we want to take. There have been some sandbox type situations where we get to freely explore, and other situations where events are taking place around us, and we must decide our path within a specified period of time. That has been very helpful as our party can’t sit around debating forever, and it keeps things moving smoothly. Spencer treats all players with respect, and treats them fairly. He always tries to make sure that everyone’s  character has had an opportunity to act during combat, or interact with what is happening in role playing situations. If a player is having a hard time adjusting, or finding a way to fit in to the current group dynamics, like myself when I first started, he is really patient and encourages player growth and involvement. I also admire how Spencer handles players who may not be participating in the often game, or other players who may be the focus of a scene more often than not. Spencer takes the time to discuss any challenges a player may experience, or discuss how a player may be attempting to be the center of attention too much.  And, he runs a pretty right ship. If a player will not put forth the effort to adjust their attitude or contribute to the game, Spencer will remove them from the game so the other players can continue having fun without a long strung-out process. Greetings! I'm a fan of Rifts, have played many games over the years... Spent countless hours creating characters just for fun. So I would definitely be interested. Off the top of my head, I'd like to play an Anti-Monster. I think it's underappreciated ;)
I'm assuming we're talking the Palladium system - or Savage Rifts?  Would be interested either way as the time slot works great for me.  Have always enjoyed the setting and your references speak volumes.  Thanks!
PMs sent to both of you, and bump
I'm interested as well, if you still have room.  I love the world setting the the multitude of options available.
sorry game is full will have one on a sunday soon.
I would definitely be interested in a Sunday campaign. Please let me know when it opens up.
