I've never played a d20 role playing game in my life although I have had hours of fun with friends playing boardgames like Hero Quest, Warhammer Quest and more recently, Dungeons and Dragons - Castle Ravencloft. I understand the basic concept of most of the games discussed here and really fancy trying a basic full game, seeing how I do with the role playing and critical thinking. I really like the idea of using magic and decision making OUT of combat as well as in and these games really do seem to have only your imagination as a limit. The majority of games seems pretty similar so i just randomly selected DnD 3.5 and read the player handbook to get the gist of creating a character and basic combat but I'm totally open to any games just as long as it isn't too overwhelming of a rule set. Ideally I would like a generic warrior, rouge, druid ect. game play set in a bog standard medieval realm. I'm friendly, have a Cam and a Microphone and am available in most evenings GMT +1. So basically just asking for any kind GM/DM to help me out with starting a game? Or an already established group to take me under their wing? Ideally again, if it wasn't too much trouble, I'm sure i could round up a party of first timers and a particularly patient GM/DM could take us on an adventure and teach us the basics along the way? (Also I would like to mention how much respect I have for the dedicated GM/DMs out there, after researching how to get into this scene it seems like a lot of work and dedication, it's practically an art form in itself!)
