New player to table top games

Hello,  I have tried this site to find a game to no avail previously but thought that I would give it one more try.   I have always wanted to try a table top RPG, I have purchased the 5E Core rulebook, monster book and dm guide off amazon a few months back but unfortunately any attempts at sourcing a game have fallen through.  I am a male in my early 30's that would ideally like to try a one shot campaign that people are willing to take a new player along with.   

Hey, so, I'm pretty rusty myself but am interested in giving 5e a try.  (Used to play 3.5 in college).  I'd be totally on board with gaming with you if we can find a DM and one or two more players.  Did you have a timing in mind?
