Uploading Handouts

So, I am trying to upload handouts. I tried in .docx format... and now I am trying in .rtf. The green bar fills, and continues to spin but no document gets uploaded. What am I doing wrong?

Presently the only files Roll20 accepts is GIF, JPG, PNG, and single page PDFs(that are converted over as an image).

Handouts can contain images, which can be uploaded in jpg, .gif, or .png formats. Additionally, handouts have a text section that you can copy/paste text into. To elaborate on Kristin's comment, when you upload a PDF it converts a single page to an image and then displays that image. - Gauss
