The preview is NOT accurate, shouldn't be taken at face value. How does the character sheet look like inside the game on the different locations, any differences there? I admit, this is new knowledge to me, but as this view isn't accurate anyway it shouldn't make much difference. This is clearly mentioned on the the wiki page for building character sheets, were there Sheet editor is detailed: <a href="https://wiki.roll20.net/Building_Character_Sheets#Preview_Panel" rel="nofollow">https://wiki.roll20.net/Building_Character_Sheets#Preview_Panel</a>
i quote from above: "in game the sheet doesn't work either. exact same code." i just took it b./c it was easiest at the time, but yes, in game doesn't work either on the dev server, but does on the regular server.

Sorry for not taking your word for it, and assuming too much based on what you showed. The difference seem to be the background color. Have you narrowed down to exactly what part of your code is showed differently? Please share your code in a GitHub gist or something. I have a suspicion it could be that a css difference between "" and ".charsheet *{background: brown;}" *{ background: brown; } and .charsheet *{ background: brown; } could make a difference, I'm now recalling an odd interaction from a few weeks ago that might be related.
its the same css as well. copy/p[asted.

I have a suspicion I can't seem to communicate in English(not a native speaker), so can you just share your code so I can see if my hunch is right or not? It would help anyone else who might try to figure this out.

It looks like things are okay on the public server, so I wouldnt worry about it. Just do your testing on the public server. Note that dev server is for the devs to test features and us to beta test them. You shouldnt use it to test your own code, because there are sometimes differences between dev and public server. Since you're using your sheet on the public server, do you testing there. Also try out the custom sandbox, it makes testing a lot quicker.

@GiGs, i've tried out the custom sandbox and it works well. OK. Question: i was looking to start using api such as page fx for rain, world map discovery , resizer and terrain generator for hex-mapping, for starters. I'm unsure if i should play on the public server or on the dev server to help test new stuff out (like the Weather layer TM). I only game on r0ll20 once or twice a week (conan 2d20 ranks 0.04% for use) so i'm not an uber user on roll20 five nights a week or anything. Any opinions?

I'd just play on the public server. When they introduce features for testing (like the Weather layer), they are expected to be unstable, so using them in a live campaign is risky. You could spend your gaming night wrestling with bugs.&nbsp; If you want to help testing, create a special campaign for that purpose&nbsp;

@gigs, thanks for the advice. One-shot games on the dev server.
