[LFG][D&D5e] Looking for generous and commited roleplayers for my homebrew!

A preface: I am a 22 year veteran of DMing. I have run several campaigns at the table that have run for 2+ years. I was laid off from my job yesterday and will be self-isolating for the duration meaning that I cannot run for my regular group. I am not going to require payment as this is my first public roll20 game but I am asking that players be willing to tip and be willing to pay per session in the future if you enjoy what I do. I have run pay for play games IRL. I am hoping to be able to upgrade to pro and buy assets with initial tips given. I appreciate you having patience with my disclaimer on to the description. A Dark And Hungry God Arises Anchor is a rustic, seaside settlement about 60 miles from Tempest Cove. The village mayor, Jean LaBou, is a swarthy and savvy man. Rumor has it he earned his fortune in an irreputable manner at sea. Nothing of consequence ever happens in Anchor. The people pay their taxes and festivals throughout the year keep spirits high. It's a quiet burg inhabited by quiet people. Lately that isn’t so true. The lizardfolk in the nearby swamp have begun to raid the village docks at night. The local priest has begun teaching odd sermons, and rumor has it that the ancient tome he reads from is one he found during his time as a ship’s chaplain far out at sea. Meanwhile, the simple folk who make their homes deep in the bayou have become more reclusive and some say they’ve begun to act strangely... Classic Sandbox Politics : Medium Roleplaying : Medium Tactics : Medium Player Buy-in: The old school style of play where the DM just drops you in a small town surrounded by wilderness and you have to work your own stuff out has to sound cool. The first few levels are player directed. No Quest, just many rumors. It’s up to you which fires to put out, and there’s no way to solve every problem. If interested in playing you can utilize the following to read about the setting, the village of Anchor, and a character submission. I am looking for 5-6 players. Characters will start at 3rd level. I would prefer to have the questionair filled out (Which you can copy and past in a dm) and then make characters as a group via a session 0. I am flexible on time but I am looking to run any day/s and sometime between 10am and 10pm EST. Feel free to ask questions and thank you for taking the time to read this! Hey there! Came from the last post, and I'm still interested as ever. Timing works really nicely for me. Where would you like me to submit my questionnaire?
copy and past it in a DM if you would like.
The timing is flexible for now until I get a group together, hopefully from there we can agree on something that works for everyone.
Looks like I have two players at this point. Still searching for 3 or 4 more
Hi, I am looking for a group of players to join. I have some experience on roll20, and a decent amount of player experience, but if this would be a long term campaign, I would love to join a new group of players so I could learn how to play long campaigns. I am pst and I am very flexible on times. I am 18 My discord is SharkRider23#3944 I personally love to play rogues so, if that works out. Then I would love to join. I will fill out the questionnaire and dm you when I get to my computer.
Looks really interesting and I have tons of time until fall. Am reading the home brew rn and will submit the questionnaire once I've finished it. :D -Zoey the lady of rabbits
This sounds awesome! I'd love to play! I have a lot of experience as a wizard but would love to try a fighter class maybe.

Hi Mark. Stephen here. I DM about 5 games, and I don`t have much opportunity to play. I have started reading all your documentation and I really appreciate the effort you have put into building a world. I have PMd you the questionnaire. The only slight problem there may be is my timezone. Im based in Germany so the latest I could play to is about 6pm EST, later if it is on a weekend. Let me know if this is a disqualifying factor.
Hey all, I am getting a lot more applications than I have slots so I will be starting up a second campaign in the same world. I will contact those of you who have reached out. I am not going to lie, If i am going to run multiple games i will be asking for some form of compensation due to the amount of time dedication.
