Best way to turn off tele-conf. due to Video/talk problems?

Last night, I GM'd my first game, for a group of four. At no point were we able to get all five of us able to hear each other, and it varied as to which person(s) couldn't be heard. I get the feeling that's going to continue to be a problem. We turned off the cameras and audio so that we could Zoom. But that feels like we're consuming digital resources that others could use--is just muting camera and voice all that we can do?

The GM has an option to disable all voice and video. It's in the settings cog a bit down. https://wiki.roll20.net/Video_and_Voice_Chat#Enabling.2FDisabling_Video_and_Voice_for_an_Entire_Game
Thanks!

I completely agree, David. It does save some resources if the GM disables it entirely, as opposed to having each player individually mute themselves or choose not to send that signal. Turning it off causes the a/v code to not load at all in Roll20 (saves you a bit), and also stops browsers from asking every player to Accept/Decline the mic and cam permissions (saving players a bit of time each game). A lot of GM's who use Discord side-by-side with Roll20 do not realize this tip. Good on you.
